Great visit to Kelowna. Absolutely wonderful experience. Had beef sashimi for the first time, mixed tempura and ocean platter. Would highly recommend.
We love this place! Came across it on our way to Big White and had to go back on our way back into town! Delicious rolls (my husband loved the Crispy Crunch Roll), yummy appies, especially the Japanese Pizza is a must-try! Lots of choices on the menu!
Service was great, the Sapporo on tap was much appreciated and the prices are reasonable!
Will become our regular stop on the way up to Big White!
Food was pretty good. Enjoyed the food and I think PRICEs are pretty reasonable however I notice lot
of details like dirty window coverings and a lot of burned out light bulbs that needed replacing. SERVICE was rushed and inconsistent.Had to stand at the entrance for a little too long and wait for somebody to sit us down. Place was pretty busy I must say they should have more staff.
One of the best sushi so far i tried in Kelowna!. I am from Vancouver, and when I came to Kelowna 2 years ago I was bit disappointed that there are no decent sushi place in Kelowna. However, after trying Taki's sushi i finally found my favourite sushi restaurant! The food is great, especially crispy and spider roll! Also if u never had their Pho or Wonton soup, u missed a lot! I always get amazing customer service when I go to Taki. And if u expect Japanese restaurant to be small ( like most Japanese places in Vancouver), then Taki is not in this list. Their lounge side is very fancy that has semi-private booth and a good music. So, if you want to eat sushi and spend your weekend in a fancy restaurant, then Taki is the right place.
Still a favourite. I still remember when Taki first opened and what a delight it was to find very good quality sushi in Rutland. It really was the leader in changing the food landscape in downtown Rutland. One could always count on good quality sashimi and sushi and for the most part you can still expect that today. Unfortunately the service, which was once very good, has taken a bit of a dive. In general I find the service haphazard; many times way too slow and on occasion rushed and hurried. Even in the moments of good service I find the table maintenance and timing very inconsistent. The problem for me is it has been impossible to predict which one you're going to get and that coupled with a relatively unchanging and uninspired menu has me driving right on by to other Japanese restaurants. i like the new renovations and I hope that creates a revitalization in the menu and service as well. Despite these issues I can still recommend it for food quality and take out.

Everything is good!. We are sushi lovers from Campbell River, B.C.. We love to travel and always try to find the best sushi place wherever we go. We found this place thru recommendation by a friend of the owner whom we met thru golfing, and of course, I was skeptical from the beginning. While entering the restaurant I was already impressed. The décor was what you would expect in a Japanese restaurant, but far “classier” than what you will find in many “hole-in-the-wall” sushi joints in Vancouver and the Island. The ambiance was great, as far as I could tell. Obviously, the “cleanliness” aspect is especially important in a place that serves raw fish, and Taki certainly had that part covered.The efficiency of the service was impressive with only one waitress. The food exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend their crispy crunch roll, spider roll, all their tempura and donburies. We just found our new Sushi place in Kelowna!
Good Miso soup. Best miso soup I have ever had. I regularly get a bento box for takeout lunch. Great deal but not obvious on the menu. Tempura is pretty good, not too doughy and greasy. Chicken teriyaki pretty good too.
Looks like a nice intimate place for dinner but never tried.

One of my favorites. I have been going to Taki since they opened, I have moved out of the neighborhood but we still try and go as much as we can. The staff is kind and friendly, Joe greets my wife and I everytime we come in, he asks about my son and reminds me that the packers had a great season. We sit in a booth or at the bar, Joe will give me the inside on the freshest fish and what is the best thing to try that night. He even made up a roll just for me, and when my son was born he bought me a beer. They have kept up on decor and make sure the ambiance is modern, without affecting any prices. The sushi is fresh, delicious and very good. the tempura is crisp and flavorful. I have just recently tried the tuna tataki as it was added not too long ago, it was delicious and a huge portion. They are always busy and reservations are a good idea. their takeout is quick and no quality lacks, like some other places. I highly recommend this restaurant and urge everyone that loves fresh sushi to try them out. best place outside of vancouver for sure. if only kelowna was on the coast and we could get some of the more unique types of sushi, like uni, anago, abalone, geoduck, escolar, among others. oh well I guess i will still have to travel to either Vancouver or Seattle for those ones.
Great!. I work just down the road from Taki and I am a frequent customer. The Bento Box is a great price and the Crispy Crunch Roll is to die for! It's one of the best in town with a great price.
Good Sushi. Good sushi and a nice little place to eat. Sushi is good, but the service is very slow. Don't go if you are in a hurry. Their best roll by far is the Crispy Crunch roll
We have been coming here for a long time and Always love it easily the best value sushi in the city. Amazing pricing and amazing taste, we love the volcanic roll and crispy crunch.
The servers are always so friendly and attentive.

I highly recommend the crispy crunch roll, tuna sashimi, chilli tofu, and yam rolls, but I always add some avacado on top.
Literally, anything you order will be amazing though!
When I visit Taki ,my go to is one of the Specialty Rolls . My friend always has the same one. Every time . I like to switch it up, although when lobster rolls are on the menu , for this person,that is a must-have.
Keep hoping the oyster dish that I simply couldn't get enough of will be back.

We go here all the time, causal restaurant, friendly staff. They updated the menu. Yummy food, authentic with lots of options. Dine in or take out. The best War Wanton soup you'll find in Kelowna.
Always an amazing experience here at Taki. This is my favorite sushi spot in all of Kelowna as it's the only place I've had anything like the "crispy crunch roll" which is a must have every visit! Their smoked salmon roll is also on my favorite list as it is made without cream cheese and does have a line of asparagus, YUM! There is nowhere like it. It's the place I always take friends and family for a night out ⭐️
I’ve tried a lot of sushi restaurants in Kelowna and this is like in my top 3. They have my new favourite rolls. My favourites are the caterpillar roll, ultimate spicy tuna roll, volcanic roll and crispy crunch roll. They are all so good and unique I can’t find any rolls that compare anywhere else they are soooo good and delicious
Pretty good sushi on par with many other sushi spots in kelowna. Nothing amazing but nothing bad either. The prices were really fair and the service was good too.
Great food been eating here for years never changed in quality or quantity, give the young girls waitressing a break they are learning and are great for being young as they are. Big thanks to the owner don’t know if there’s been a change in the last few years (not to my knowledge) but overall wonderful place of business definitely recommend.
I heard so much about their Crispy Crunchy Roll and decided to give it a try. It was so so good. The presentation and taste, both were awesome. I was also really happy to see the size of each piece, they were larger than most other places I've tried.
