We have been coming here for a long time and Always love it easily the best value sushi in the city. Amazing pricing and amazing taste, we love the volcanic roll and crispy crunch. The servers are always so friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

Best sushi in town! I haven't gone anywhere else in many years now because I've never been disappointed ❤️ I highly recommend the crispy crunch roll, tuna sashimi, chilli tofu, and yam rolls, but I always add some avacado on top. Literally, anything you order will be amazing though!

When I visit Taki ,my go to is one of the Specialty Rolls . My friend always has the same one. Every time . I like to switch it up, although when lobster rolls are on the menu , for this person,that is a must-have. Keep hoping the oyster dish that I simply couldn't get enough of will be back. Authentic atmosphere and superb service too. Love my neighborhood!

We go here all the time, causal restaurant, friendly staff. They updated the menu. Yummy food, authentic with lots of options. Dine in or take out. The best War Wanton soup you'll find in Kelowna.

Always an amazing experience here at Taki. This is my favorite sushi spot in all of Kelowna as it's the only place I've had anything like the "crispy crunch roll" which is a must have every visit! Their smoked salmon roll is also on my favorite list as it is made without cream cheese and does have a line of asparagus, YUM! There is nowhere like it. It's the place I always take friends and family for a night out ⭐️

I’ve tried a lot of sushi restaurants in Kelowna and this is like in my top 3. They have my new favourite rolls. My favourites are the caterpillar roll, ultimate spicy tuna roll, volcanic roll and crispy crunch roll. They are all so good and unique I can’t find any rolls that compare anywhere else they are soooo good and delicious

Pretty good sushi on par with many other sushi spots in kelowna. Nothing amazing but nothing bad either. The prices were really fair and the service was good too.

Great food been eating here for years never changed in quality or quantity, give the young girls waitressing a break they are learning and are great for being young as they are. Big thanks to the owner don’t know if there’s been a change in the last few years (not to my knowledge) but overall wonderful place of business definitely recommend.

I heard so much about their Crispy Crunchy Roll and decided to give it a try. It was so so good. The presentation and taste, both were awesome. I was also really happy to see the size of each piece, they were larger than most other places I've tried.

Have been coming here for about 15 years, and always loved it! The chefs are incredible, waitresses are quick and observing, crispycrunch roll for the win! (But i miss the kaki 😭😭😭) All the food is exceptional!

Good experience at Taki, the dining area wasn’t too busy when we arrived. The maki and special rolls were delicious, the beef tataki was simply amazing. Ikura was delicious as well, recommended. After we were finished our meal and drinks, we feel as if we were being pushed out due to how busy it was getting. I don’t believe the chefs are Japanese, but the food is still good.

The staff were wearing masks and very friendly. Food was very good and fresh and the presentation was perfect. We will definitely be returning soon for another amazing experience. Thank you!

The dinner was for 7 adults and 3 children. The volume of food served was extremely generous, and first class presentation. The food was awesome, and the price was even better . This was the 3rd time visiting Kelowna that we have been to this restaurant.

I really love this place, I brought friends from out of town out to dinner here and they were really impressed! Very friendly staff, relaxed and refined atmosphere, the food was amazing as always! It was very easy to make a reservation and staff were accommodating when I needed to call back and modify the reservation. The sushi is delightful, the Pho main portion is enormous, bring an appetite!

Honestly one of my two favorite Japanese restaurants in Kelowna. The beef sashimi appetizer is so juicy and packed with flavors, I have to order it every time I eat here. The sauce on the crispy crunch roll is one of the best sauces I've ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious! Tried the firecracker roll and was not disappointed. The tea is something special too, and the sashimi was so soft and buttery. Recommend and I'll definitely be back again and again.

Family dinner for my birthday at one of my favourite places for sushi! They are consistently delicious with great service. Beef sashimi - YUM!!! Crispy Crunch Roll - YUM!!! Everything - YUM!!!

Ordered a few items for takeout. We were going to order online except some items on their normal website versus the site to do the takeout order wasn't on there. So we decided to call it in. It didn't take them long to make our order.<br/><br/>I was excited to try this place, but ended up being disappointed. Their pricing for some of their rolls were cheaper than other places around Kelowna, but the quality wasn't very good. We tried their negitoro roll, chopped scallop roll, unagi roll, hamachi nigiri, and chirashi don. The first thing that let me down was the ginger. I love eating the ginger that comes with sushi, except for pink ginger. There were tons of ginger that we got with our order, especially in the chirashi don. There was layer of it on top of the rice and then the fish was on top of that. Some of the things in the chirashi were good and it had lots of variety, but not all the fish tasted fresh. The tako had a weird texture and the tuna was a bit too mushy for me. However, the scallop was good and the negitoro roll was pretty good. Their unagi roll lacked the sauce typically on this roll. Also, I really disliked the sushi rice. It had no flavour and wasn't as soft and fluffy. Even the soya sauce had a different flavour to me. I'd rather pay more to eat better sushi, even though the prices here were cheap.

Me and my girlfriend went there for dinner tonight. I have NEVER experienced more ignorant and rude service. We weren't greeted when we entered and had to seat ourselves. The waiters were short and rude they favoured certain tables above ours and it took over 30 mins for two orders of sushi while three tables behind us got food and drinks before us. They never offered to refill our drinks and interrupted us when we asked for the bill. When we told them of our issues they made up excuses saying that they were busy but there were at least 5 empty tables. Will never go here again very unimpressed.

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't the good either. Service was good, but then I wouldn't really know because I was the only one in the restaurant. I ordered: Agedashi tofu, Tuna Sashimi, Nbeyaki Udon and Alaska Roll. Thye did use the proper tofu for the Agedashi, but not cooked how I usually get it. Usually big cube of tofu with the sauce poured on top. Tuna Sashimi was probably the best part of my meal, it was fresh and didn't have a fumny after taste at all. The Nabeyaki Udon was okay. It was a little bland to taste, so I had to add soy sauce. Nothing special about the soup. Instead of adding Shiitake mushrooms, they added White mushrooms instead which is somehow unacceptable for me because youà can easily get Shiitake mushrooms at the grocery and they didn't. So I was a little disappointed, so I ordered Alaska Roll for to-go, just to give them another chance. The rice was too loose, and there was no flavor at all. Overall, it was okay. But Im never going back.

Clean place and kid friendly. Server was friendly and food was good. Part of our order was forgotten. Focus seemed to switch from customers in the restaurant to its take out orders. A very long delay from our main order to the remaining two items. Server did apologize for delay. One of the two arrived and we cancelled the other order. She also apologized for missing the last item. I like this place but gave it a low rating due to slowness and missing part of our order.

Unsatisfied. Even though the restaurant was full I expected to get decent food. We got seated to a table that was wet and still dirty from the last people there...which didnt bother me as much as later...:My food took a good 20 or more minutes. Literally ordered just three rolls and soup. The miso soup was 3/4 of the bowl and seriously the most cheapest looking miso soup I ever had. Had like maybe 5 pieces of bit sized tofu and the rest was liquid. The sushi rolls were bland. Rice was soggy. The fish was not crispy at all!! And to top it off I had a bad stomach ache right after. Never ever coming back.

Great little restaurant!. Recently updated menu - delicious! Service always friendly, very clean restaurant. For my money it's the best Japanese food in Kelowna - and not just the sushi. The squid karaage, kobyashi and Udon soups are delicious!

Great visit to Kelowna. Absolutely wonderful experience. Had beef sashimi for the first time, mixed tempura and ocean platter. Would highly recommend.

We love this place! Came across it on our way to Big White and had to go back on our way back into town! Delicious rolls (my husband loved the Crispy Crunch Roll), yummy appies, especially the Japanese Pizza is a must-try! Lots of choices on the menu!<br/><br/>Service was great, the Sapporo on tap was much appreciated and the prices are reasonable! <br/>Will become our regular stop on the way up to Big White!

Food was pretty good. Enjoyed the food and I think PRICEs are pretty reasonable however I notice lot<br/>of details like dirty window coverings and a lot of burned out light bulbs that needed replacing. SERVICE was rushed and inconsistent.Had to stand at the entrance for a little too long and wait for somebody to sit us down. Place was pretty busy I must say they should have more staff.

One of the best sushi so far i tried in Kelowna!. I am from Vancouver, and when I came to Kelowna 2 years ago I was bit disappointed that there are no decent sushi place in Kelowna. However, after trying Taki's sushi i finally found my favourite sushi restaurant! The food is great, especially crispy and spider roll! Also if u never had their Pho or Wonton soup, u missed a lot! I always get amazing customer service when I go to Taki. And if u expect Japanese restaurant to be small ( like most Japanese places in Vancouver), then Taki is not in this list. Their lounge side is very fancy that has semi-private booth and a good music. So, if you want to eat sushi and spend your weekend in a fancy restaurant, then Taki is the right place.

The service was great. The food was not. Seeds in my tempura squash were hard and not a pleasure to eat. Beef teriyaki was pretty bad. Bitter broccoli, cheap packaged noodles, and the bee was tough and had visible gristle. The tempura was oily. We've been going since it opened and it was not busy at all tonight. One other person at a table and 2 take outs.

Still a favourite. I still remember when Taki first opened and what a delight it was to find very good quality sushi in Rutland. It really was the leader in changing the food landscape in downtown Rutland. One could always count on good quality sashimi and sushi and for the most part you can still expect that today. Unfortunately the service, which was once very good, has taken a bit of a dive. In general I find the service haphazard; many times way too slow and on occasion rushed and hurried. Even in the moments of good service I find the table maintenance and timing very inconsistent. The problem for me is it has been impossible to predict which one you're going to get and that coupled with a relatively unchanging and uninspired menu has me driving right on by to other Japanese restaurants. i like the new renovations and I hope that creates a revitalization in the menu and service as well. Despite these issues I can still recommend it for food quality and take out.

Everything is good!. We are sushi lovers from Campbell River, B.C.. We love to travel and always try to find the best sushi place wherever we go. We found this place thru recommendation by a friend of the owner whom we met thru golfing, and of course, I was skeptical from the beginning. While entering the restaurant I was already impressed. The décor was what you would expect in a Japanese restaurant, but far “classier” than what you will find in many “hole-in-the-wall” sushi joints in Vancouver and the Island. The ambiance was great, as far as I could tell. Obviously, the “cleanliness” aspect is especially important in a place that serves raw fish, and Taki certainly had that part covered.The efficiency of the service was impressive with only one waitress. The food exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend their crispy crunch roll, spider roll, all their tempura and donburies. We just found our new Sushi place in Kelowna!

Disapointing. It seems like the service and food quality at taki's has really gone down hill. We decided to order the dim sum and our waitress did not bring us the proper cutlery or explain any of the dishes until we requested it. I ordered the same sushi roll on two seperate visits and it looked entirely different. The waitress actually argued with me and told me I must have ordered something else before. They used to have big fat prawns, but now they are scrawny. All around just not what they used to be.

Good Miso soup. Best miso soup I have ever had. I regularly get a bento box for takeout lunch. Great deal but not obvious on the menu. Tempura is pretty good, not too doughy and greasy. Chicken teriyaki pretty good too.<br/><br/>Looks like a nice intimate place for dinner but never tried.

One of my favorites. I have been going to Taki since they opened, I have moved out of the neighborhood but we still try and go as much as we can. The staff is kind and friendly, Joe greets my wife and I everytime we come in, he asks about my son and reminds me that the packers had a great season. We sit in a booth or at the bar, Joe will give me the inside on the freshest fish and what is the best thing to try that night. He even made up a roll just for me, and when my son was born he bought me a beer. They have kept up on decor and make sure the ambiance is modern, without affecting any prices. The sushi is fresh, delicious and very good. the tempura is crisp and flavorful. I have just recently tried the tuna tataki as it was added not too long ago, it was delicious and a huge portion. They are always busy and reservations are a good idea. their takeout is quick and no quality lacks, like some other places. I highly recommend this restaurant and urge everyone that loves fresh sushi to try them out. best place outside of vancouver for sure. if only kelowna was on the coast and we could get some of the more unique types of sushi, like uni, anago, abalone, geoduck, escolar, among others. oh well I guess i will still have to travel to either Vancouver or Seattle for those ones.

Great!. I work just down the road from Taki and I am a frequent customer. The Bento Box is a great price and the Crispy Crunch Roll is to die for! It's one of the best in town with a great price.

Good Sushi. Good sushi and a nice little place to eat. Sushi is good, but the service is very slow. Don't go if you are in a hurry. Their best roll by far is the Crispy Crunch roll

Mmm!. Love the chicken terriyaki rolls! The service is consistently good. The decor is decent and clean. I really like the little booths.

I highly recomend the taki's terryaki and the spider roll. The beef udon is also good! Taki is honestly the best sushi place around. Not even close anywhere else.

Taki is by far the best sushi in kelowna! Make sure you try the crispy crunch role and tuna tatami.
