Great Vietnamese and Japanese food. Service was friendly and quick. We had the beef and beef balls as well as the special beef. Servings were large, filling and flavoursome. Get on it.
Stopped in for a pho tai to go. Good broth came with a lot of meat could of used a bit more noodles for a large. Overall was worth the money. Also had the spring roll. Was a little different than I'm used to as it has almost like a light Panko coating but was very good. Will be back for sure.
Excellent, and I mean excellent, Pho. Super efficient service, though not terribly smiley or uber-friendly. Very reasonable prices. Clean and newly-renovated. Recommended.
Legit! Ordered the beef ball and rare beef pho, spring rolls which were amazing, and the chicken teriyaki roll. All very refreshing! Will come back.. Pretty comparable from the Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver but a lot more clean and ambient :)
I've eaten here & had takeout literally hundreds of times since they opened. It's consistently good. The pho soup is my go to followed by stir fried chicken and vegetables with rice. Although there is an occasional mistake, it is pretty rare and always fixed up in a satisfactory way.
Amazing pho!! The lemon grass chicken is great as well!! The staff very friendly and even though I ordered carry out they offered me a beverage while I waited.
Chicken wings are yummy!! Pho is pretty good and I love their vegetarian dish with rice noodle.
Good Pho. After sampling authentic pho in several Vietnamese restaurants on a recent trip to Richmond, I decided to give it a try here at home. The atmosphere is a bit more opulent than most pho places and the price is slightly higher, but the portions are a decent size and it's almost as good as in Richmond (it could use a little more basil, imho). I would recommend Hoang Gia to someone who is looking for a neat little place with eastern food and western feel. The staff can be a little cool, but the pho is passable.

Reasonably good. I just went there for dinner and my experience was somewhere in between all the comments. I ordered spring rolls and the special soup with all sorts of beef including tripe - yes, I am THAT adventurous.
Service wasn't stellar, but polite and reasonably fast- mind you, the restaurant was 25% full at most. Many people waiting for takeout, which is always promising with regards to the quality and the price. The waitresses were nice and fast, but not very focused; I had to remind them to bring me a menu and a drink, which they did immediately.
My food was out lightning fast, maybe too fast. Some portions of the spring rolls were cold inside, which means that the oil was so hot that the outside was crisp before the inside had fully thawed. They were delicious, and if Costco has them that's unfortunate for the restaurant, but not for me :-)
The soup was delicious and abundant, and gave me that nice warm feeling that we need after a long day of taking flights and jumping time zones. I would recommend it as affordable and tasty comfort food, but not for a gourmet experience - no Michelin Guide stuff here. All this being said, I may pay them another visit in the future.
Always good food.. although when it is busy the service sucks.. waited 15 minutes and the waitress walked by a couple of times and didn't even offer us a drink so I walked out.. .
Friendly and fast here for a tasty lunch. The coffee was very good with correct level of sweetness. The food was fresh and cooked well. It was a little expensive but I enjoyed it.
We had decent pho here. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. The pho special was a nice big portion. Definitely would recommend this spot if you're craving pho.
Normally when I see a restaurant trying to serve two different cuisines, it is an immediate red flag. However, I am surprised that everything is done relatively well here! The two cuisines I am referring to is Vietnamese, and they also somehow put sushi on the menu.
Pho: Executed competently, broth is actually a rich deep broth, and doesn't feel watery at all. My only quip is that the size for a large is smaller than Vancouver portions
Vermicelli bowl: Executed well, but they had limited options for protein options. I wish they had pork skin in one of the bowls!
House roll: Rice isn't over seasoned compared to a lot of other sushi restaurants – may come off as bland as a result, but it allows the rice to shine through instead. So YMMV depending on what you are used to.

Everything was fabulous! Authentic pho and delicious. We ordered the salad and spring rolls as well. Can't say enough good things about the place. We also each had the beef pho. I am full!!
It's back open! Hoang Gia is open again after renovations. Fresh new look and the same amazing Vietnamese food. Try the rice paper rolls. My personal single top restaurant in Kelowna.
This place has amazing flavors! The plating looks beautiful! When i arrive there it was lunch time.We didn't have to wait long at all, I was very impressed. I was so hungry I forgot their exact names. They were all water melting in my mouth. We also ordered entrees one was the seafood on noodles and the other one was vermicelli combo. They were superb! I'll be coming back here everytime I'm back in town!

First time dining here, great meal. The wait staff was attentive, including water refills and to check if we needed more wraps for our 'wrap your own' rolls. Had the Hue Spicy Soup, Special Combination, and Three Colour Combo. Super tasty and filling! Another member in the party had the Pineapple Fried Rice, which was served inside a half pineapple shell, which was visually appealing. Would like to go back and try more of their extensive menu, which includes Japanese options like sushi.
Hui soup was pretty darn good. I'm a big fan of Vietnamese food and it did not disappoint. I got it there right before close and should have been wise enough to take it to go but pho is meant to be experienced in house. Wish I could have finished the bowl but I got in there last minute and they wanted to close.
