Cute, cozy and welcoming. I won a 10 dollars gift certificate at an official Yelp event so that is originally what drew me in but I'm ever so grateful because this place is adorable. Located on busy Quinpool, it's not only the street that was bustling but Lucky Penny was too! I guess that's a good sign, right? I really had to stop and take in the ambience of this place. Elegant floral wallpaper is the backdrop to their rustic shelves that adorn mason jars, cups, mugs and other cute trinkets. They have a small display case with a few fresh baked goods. Sadly there is only one vegan option, a homemade granola bar which is very delicious by the way. But they offer soy, coconut AND almond milk for drinks, as well as being able to veganize several of their menu options (sandwiches). The staff were great and all and all I'm highly impressed with this little coffeeshop. I think it offers something unique to Halifax in comparison to the other cafes in town.

Nice place. When I’m back East here in Halifax I always make a point of stopping in to have a coffee. Good vibe in the place. Signed, visiting from Banff, AB

April 29. Lucky Penny coffee co Totally cute wifi password. Lovely staff. Tax included, always nice. High average price for latte - very tasty, well done, but not really warm enough to get through on a slow sip. Very limited menu or choices. So main focus is the liquid. Cute decor... Very close quarters .. unfortunately a very loud talker who thinks everyone wants to hear her go on and on. Felt worse for the hipster trying to read his book. Bllllllaaaaaaaahhhhhhh. OMG will you please shut up lady?? Parking limited .. Got lucky to find a spot very close. Washrooms decent size but didn't feel clean. Ultimately the loud talker ruined it.

This cute little cafe is located on Quinpool Rd., and offers speciality coffees and delicious baked goods. Prices are on par with others in the neighbourhood and generally service is fast. The inside space is a bit small and awkward if you're with more than two people. I suggest the 'Kitchen Sink' cookies. At $3/each, these will fulfill all your sweets/chocolate needs for the rest of the day!

Location is very cozy, with a bright setting thanks to the open storefront. Prices are fine, service is fine. The Americano isn't exactly the best Americano I've had, but by no means is it bad.

If you have a moment to sit back and relax with the locals and clear your thoughts from rhe hussle and bustle of tourism it is a great place to visit.

I go to this sweet place at least once a week (sometimes more). it's always cozy, the staff are always good humoured and I can see the goodies being made/baked right in front of me. Plus the coffee is SO good (I get Americanos) and it's a great neighbourhood place, with a homey but hip vibe.

How happy am I to have stumbled upon this lucky penny, a great space for kicking back with a book or even to have a meeting. Beautiful interior to match the fresh food and awesome espresso. The seating is well laid out and the lighting is great.

A sweet, cozy coffee spot with great decor, calm acoustic music and lively conversation. They have their own merch, delicious drinks and comfortable mismatched furniture. They also sell local artists work on the walls, a really nice touch!

Had a good time with coffee and a pumpkin loaf. Love where it located, clean and spacious washrooms, lovely smile of a worker there. But it close too early (6pm) and I hope the chair can be more cushy ;)

First visit, with my granddaughter. It is a nice cosy cafe on Quinpool Rd. The menu is small but we tried B.O.B. and were very impressed with it. We were not as happy with our cappuccino, but there are very few cafes in Halifax that make a good one. If I am in the area again, I will probably pay a visit.
