Tasty Food, nonexistant service. If your looking for something different and want to have some quality food come here.It truly amazes me how bad the service is, not sure why they bother, but hey, bad service equals lower costs for me.Expect good food, no "thank you's", no quality check, and glares. It is never busy either ( most likely due to the staff) so grab a window and enjoy. The food won't let you down, and thats all that really matters to me.Enjoy Cafe Aroma while it's still there.
My favorite cafe in Halifax. Authentic, delicious, homemade Central American cuisine with friendly service at a decent price.
Yay! Hurrah! Real Latin American food finally comes to Halifax!
Such a lovely restaurant. Amazing vibes. Taste Quality - super, quantity wise small serving but does not mean less satisfying.
Positive:inexpensive, clean, nice decorated interior, food was delicious and lots of variety. Also sells Latin American groceries.
Neg: None
Food for thought: bring friends and try out all the dishes. Pictures are included and it's an exact match everytime I order.
Everytime I come in theres been the same girl behind the counter and shes so nice. Atmosphere severely underrated hence the photo. One of those halifax gems
Hands down the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the Granjero Breakfast & two potato empanadas, both were packed with flavour, good portions and reasonably priced.
Can’t wait to go back!
The restaurant section is nice, I love to have a cozy cafe con leche and a madurito breakfast. It's definitely good value. But the shop is my favorite, they have good quality chilis and South American/Mexican products.
If you're craving something different than the usual eggs Benedict then this is one of those gems that you shouldn't miss out, it's a small place but don't be fooled. It's got a big heart and the atmosphere and the people that work here have always been awesome.
Ordered the hot fruit tea, coffee, the qasadila and more. Highly recommend it and would definitely be coming back.
If you want authentic latin food, this is the place to go. Eating here felt like eating back home in Colombia with family. Not to mention the decor and music was on point for the atmosphere.
Wonderful food and a delightful little retail space with some harder to find items. Always a great stop
I am a regular here and can't seem to view my old review on here. What I will say now is that Claudia's breakfast soup (whether eaten in the restaurant or as takeout) is one of the best soups I've ever had.
The Heat of Halifax dish for breakfast is to DIE for! (New Fall 2023). I have a pretty good heat tolerance, so don't consider it too hot, just so tasty. I actually love all the breakfast items, as they are all so flavorful and just the right size where you will walk away satisfied but not bursting full.
Really cute atmosphere full of color, cultural artwor and decor, ivy, some homemade jewelry for sale, with a small grocery section in the rear, for all your central American needs.
I recently moved back into the area and was hoping to have brunch here every weekend. I had the Madurito breakfast which was a wonderful treat. The flavours were exotic and well balanced and I left quite satisfied. The breakfast came to $30.00 including tip. After searching online, I found this was almost double the price of any breakfast in Halifax. Wonderful food, but keep in mind you are paying inflated food costs and for specialty ingredients. Not affordable on my budget, unfortunately.
