Decided to drop in to RockysNoodles today on my work lunch. They've only been open for about a week and the place was bustling! We grabbed a small table and were given our menu very quickly.
I went for the Original Ramen and also ordered the Garlic Chasu cold dish. I was expecting a very standard ramen bowl, and was not prepared (but incredibly excited) when a full platter of ingredients was placed on the table. The broth comes out boiling and you can add your own meats and veggies to cook the food, leading to a wonderfully authentic experience.
The atmosphere was social and warm, with patrons kicking up conversations with us, each other, and the staff.
I was incredibly impressed with this place. Our food was on out table within 10 minutes which was perfect for my 1 hour work lunch and the staff was friendly and excited to see people loving their food.
There are also free noodle refills (which I didn't need because I was SO full at the end)!
My one suggesting would be adding a fee more pickled ingredients to the menu, I have a spot in my heart for pickled lotus root that hasn't been filled since Sweets and Tears closed. Perhaps this place may fill the void someday!
Good Yunnan Mixian. But the appetizers are a bit $$, enough size tough. The Mixian is very food, traditional Chinese flavor!! Forgot to take a photo for soup...
Pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem in Halifax that serves authentic “crossing bridge noodles”. Some sides are a bit pricey but they make up for it with free noodle refills. BBQ items only for dinner. Give this place a try!
At this great Asian restaurant, we had Japanese ramen and Chinese dumplings.
They are have very good food and lovely service. We'll come back and try some more things on the menu.
It’s great! This is a nice place, the real Chinese rice noodle. There’re so many customers there, the waitress are so busy. It taste fantastic, and the tasty for noodles & BBQ are so good.
Good place to eat chinese food. the steamed chiken and shredded tripe really good. I try the beef stew rie noodles, it tasted good. the waitress very friendly and enthusiasm. I wll try other things for next time.
Very flavorful lamb soup noodles, and spiced chicken wing skewers. Presentation was a bit idiosyncratic, but when in Rome (or northern China)... Would highly recommend.

They serve very good noodles! It is one of excellent Chinese cuisines in Halifax!
