Went June 2nd, 2022 for breakfast and it was delicious. Pancakes from scratch, and upgraded to the real maple syrup which was definitely worth the extra money. My girlfriend had the Grand breakfast and it was also really good. The mom was a really friendly server. Was very impressed by the quality of food and attentive and friendly server. Ice-cream parlor looks cute.
First time here. Absolutely excellent service. Very friendly. Food was delicious. I had the clubhouse and fries. It was made with real seasoned chicken breast. Lots of fries too, and I ended up taking home 1/2 the sandwich. My husband had a fishmonger made with cod. He loved it. Very well-priced too. Highly recommended.
Stopped by for lunch today and have to say how wonderful the experience and the food was.
The waitress/hostess and possibly the owner was able to run the whole show and not miss a beat.
She was greeting people, seating them, taking orders, delivery food, answer phones, clearing tables, cashing people out and making sure everyone had fresh coffee without more than a moments wait.
On top of all that she socialized with her customers and was very friendly and funny.
And the food….amazing! You will not leave hungry and your wallet will be happy!
We’re from out of town but will definitely make the trip back!
We were visiting Gravenhurst for a staycation and stopped by this restaurant. The service was quick, the server was great and the food was amazing for such a great price as well! Definitely recommend!
The owner is a wonderful lady who does it all! She is friendly and attentive even when she gets busy. We always have to get their blueberry pancakes which are made from scratch with a delicious blueberry compote served on top, the best pancakes you will ever have! The portions on the egg breakfasts are great and we’ll worth the money. The only thing lacking is some better lighting. All in all a great place for breakfast in town.
June 2022 - It seems that the owners have started to put an effort into making the food better, after there where some critics. The potatoes are chopped to a better and smaller size and are of better grades. The portions are better and the coffee flow is really good. The omelets are still the "lazy" kind, where everything is mixed into the egg, as opposed to a filled omelet, which is not as dry.
They do have a menu for frozen take out, which is worth checking out.
The place is always clean, and tables have a good distance. On checkout the tap is broken, so you better remember your pin.
If the owners keep up their efforts, we will make this our regular spot again. We go out quite often. So, when you have been disappointed here, give it another try.
Swung by for a quick breakfast and I'm glad I did. Ordered a deluxe omelette with coffee.
Food was literally served 2 minutes after it was ordered and it tasted amazing with generous portion.
Friendly staff made the dining experience even better.
I have been going to Old Mill for YEARS and I have been proud to bring friends/family who visit from out of town. The food is always DELICIOUS. The portions are generous. The service has always been great. The owners have also done so much to support the community over the years from donating to local charities to providing meals to those in need. I am grateful to have Old Mill in the community that I live in.
