Had the most wonderful meal here last week! I have never tasted fish and chips, but was very impressed with the flavour and texture of the food! Upon entering my girlfriend and I were quickly greeted by staff and she recommended us the Haddock, it was magnificent! The batter was extra crunchy, super soft and moist in the inside. I would recommend Brits and Chips to anyone who had never had fish and chips before, or if you are looking for a high caliber restaurant for fish and chips!
I can't say I love the decor, but the fish, chips, and fried oysters are tasty. The batter is not too thick, and everything is super crispy as it should be. I can't eat this every week, but I would definitely visit again.
I go here every once in a while when I want to get my fish and chips fix. I always order the Turbot and chips (I think Brits is the only place in Edmonton I know of that serves Turbot). Definitely better quality and price point than some of the other places in the area. The service is basic but friendly, much like the interior; order at the counter, someone brings you your order after a few minutes. Fish and fries are always hot and fresh and all the condiments you need are on the tables, with as much tartar sauce as you want rather than getting some dinky dipping bowl you have to pay extra for.
Honestly its just as good as any I've had in Britain, its not fancy, but it definitely fulfills my cravings when I get them and I always leave full and happy.
