Stopped here on a whim and it was delicious. The service was fantastic and the food tasted homemade and delicious.
I had we had 5 people at our table the food came out quick.
Realllllllly good food here. I don’t care about the negative reviews for places, because I usually want to try the place myself and make that judgement. Glad we did with this place. Go. Good pasta here!
Been here a few times. Service is always friendly and their prime rib is to die for. It comes out quickly and you get a lot for what you pay for. It's one of those places you drive by and think "huh I should try" please do. It's quite and so good!
This is a great lunch time spot close to work. The setting and ambiance is a little old and dated but is a popular spot - obviously because of the food. The pizza is excellent - probably the best I've ever had - as it comes absolutely loaded with toppings and a good blend of cheeses. Would certainly return for the pizza.
Greeeaaaaat pizza!!!!. Dont let the bad reviews fool you, it may get busy and the service may not be the best at times, but the pizza is one of the best pizza's in Edmonton. I've tried pizza at many different popular pizza spots including Rose bowl pizza, Dallas pizza, Versato's and Donna's eatery. This place matches up to them. Sub par service does not affect the taste of the food. Guaranteed great pizza every time. And TBH, I go during lunch hour and the service is fine. Perhaps at night time or other times there is fewer staff? Either way you should not be discouraged from coming to try the pizza.
Hubby and I just had a wonderful dinner here. I had the steak and shrimp, cooked to perfection. Hubby wanted the
"fresh penne" which turns out is just dried shelf pasta. Why call it fresh? Service is not friendly at all, but the food is good and we like the place. Best steak in my opinions their pizza rules. Criticize the service but keep it in perspective and don't trash the food. The wait staff does not tip out to the kitchen, so we walked our full tip to the back and gave it to the cooks who deserved it. I refuse to tip if I don 't get a smile and manners.

I don't know why many people dislike zambellis... The portions are incredible for the price. My husband ordered the 10oz prime rib and let me tell you, that was more than 10oz! Its definitely a must try item on the menu. I had the steak and lobster. The steak was flavored well and the lobster is huge! Both are night time specials and are worth the money. It's definitely a way bigger portion and a lot cheaper than the keg. My friend ordered the 1lb king crab splits and its a lot of crab! They were split in half so it's more convenient to eat, no need to get messy. His wife had a pizza and was kind nought to give me slice. The crust was thick but airy. I don't usually like the crust, but I love the crusts on their pizza! There are also so many selections and you can customize your own if you like. The man at door does have a grumpy face which makes it a little intimidating to go up and pay. He does thank you and tell you to have a good night so he isnt so bad. Don't let the negative reviews stop you from trying this family restaurant! It's definitely worth your money and I'm for sure coming back!

Our entire family has been going to Zambellis for years. The food is usually pretty good (or we wouldn't have kept going all these years ) but I find it depends on what you order. The pizza is delicious and usually is what I order. Over the years other family members have had various entrees & are usually happy with their meals, although there have been times when the meal has been sub par. I can only handle the owner in small batches. He can seem very arrogant & rude. He has a holier than thou attitude. A family member has had it out with him a few times over the years due to poor quality in meal & the complete lack of caring about it on the owners part. During one such dilemma the owner almost seemed as though he was trying to be intimidating by talking loudly , puffing out his chest & refusing to make any amends for poor quality of the meal. Also their is no free refills on any kind of drinks (non alcoholic). I had lunch their one day & a friend & myself both had a pop with a refill & a half each & found out when the bill came we owed $20 for 2 pops. Absolutely unacceptable in my opinion. Who the heck in this day & age charges for a pop refill especially in a restaurant & especially when you are ordering entrees.
"Soup Nazi" alive and well. No Pizza for you!!!. Great food lacklustre attitude and service sums it up. Portions are large and food is excellent. As some reviewers have said they can have a bad experience with the owner which just gives this restaurant even more character. I have seen other restaurant owners (from popular places) eating in this place alone - this speaks volume about quality . Could you imagine how busy they would be if they never were rude?
