This place is amazing .. doesn't get a lot of traffic. It it is good the staff are very friendly and funny and always willing to accommodate any changes ...a. Sry beat and quiet place with very good food .. not to pricey and very reasonable
This place opened up a while ago and I have wanted to give it a try and did that over the weekend. It wasn't too busy when I got there with my family. It didn't take long before we were asked what to drink and shortly after asked if we were ready to order. We all wanted some sort or vermicelli bowls so that what we got. It didn't take too long before our orders were out. Food tasted okay and not the best; I have had better. Overall, restaurant looks clean, fast @friendly staff, fast service and food tasted okay. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.
I think this is one of the better Vietnamese pho places and I particularly like the way how well lit their restaurant is. Lots of windows so lots of natural lighting gives it a welcoming, clean feeling atmosphere. The staff was friendly enough and the pho (P1) was tasty enough but I feel the broth was a little bland. They added lots of green onions though which I like and big helpings of been sprouts and basil! Portions are fair. This restaurant is worth a stop if you're in the area.
My absolute favourite bowl of pho in the city! Great broth, noodles are the right texture and they don't skimp! I usually order the King Special (steak, flank/brisket, meatballs, tendon and tripe) but hold the tendon extra tripe.
The Vietnamese iced coffee is great too!
WONDERFUL food...very generous portions and food always fresh. Reasonable prices for such large portions. staff very pleasant, & fast with service. Never disappoints. Have not been in since renovations, but plan to return soon!
Suddenly had a craving for pho and decided to try this place since it was so close to my house. Quite a small restaurant but had a nice cozy feeling. Food came out fast and hot. Not only did they serve Vietnamese dishes but they also had a couple Chinese dishes here and there and even a section devoted to Western food such as fries, sandwiches, and burgers. But of course, I came here for the pho and ordered the brisket and beef meatballs which was delicious. The broth was seasoned just right and wasn’t too salty. I also ordered an onion cake and it was probably the best decision I’ve made. I tend to hesitate when restaurants serve onion cake (either its too flat, dense, or thin on top) but this was the best one yet (fluffy and flavorful).
Decent pho, nicely lit and spaced place. It's clear the owners take pride in cleanliness and layout. Spring rolls came out hot and crunchy, and the satay chicken pho was spicy but could use more backbone(maybe peanut butter or coconut milk?) great place that was actually open the afternoon of Christmas Eve!
In a gloomy world of Sunday hangovers, happiness is found here. Other Vietnamese restaurant's in Edmonton can't compare to the food here. Everything looks and tastes PHO KING fresh, and it seems like the time has been taken to properly make each dish without skipping steps. Tastes like good home cooking
Pho King. Such a cleverly named restaurant. Have you seen their brand/logo design? Amaze balls (buy a t-shirt!). I’ve hit up Pho King a few times by now (good spot when you want something quick and easy before hitting up Rexall Place) but this was the first time I’ve been to their newly renovated digs. Everything is much cleaner and aesthetically pleasing. The right hand side of the resto now consists of a counter instead of seating area.
