Obsessed with this place. Honestly had amazing service our server was great and her recommendations were spot on. The food was delicious and totally in love with the aesthetic of this place. Try and find the hidden bathroom....hint if you flock to the peacock you are pretty close. Can't wait to visit again and try some more awesome dishes
An atmosphere that delivers through fun sociable service, tasty food options (especially the pizza), cool decor and a cocktail list to wow any drinker!! Holy Roller - thanks for helping to kick the YEG food and drink scene up a notch (or 2) Great vibe!!
Fantastic new restaurant just off Whyte with a fun, eclectic decor and atmosphere. We tried a bit of everything (appetizers, cocktails, steak board, Detroit style pizza and dessert!) and loved every bite. The service was stellar with attention to every detail...our waitress ensured we were well taken care of throughout the entire meal. Great experience, we highly recommend and will be back!
I would give the food/service 3* but the decor is very bold and interesting which definitely adds to the experience so overall it's 4* for me. I ordered hot jerk wings and they were very underwhelming; dry meat with soft skin and one of the more bland jerk flavours I've had. The Cubano sandwich was great, especially the pork belly which is fatty, slightly crispy, and packed with flavour. Service was pleasant but slow, although I did like that they gave us space and offered drinks after we'd finished eating.
The decor and atmosphere of this establishment is like no other. Vintage candy presses, aged leather upholstery, and various antique pieces make the Holy Roller feel like an elegant place to be. The staff are all smiling faces and very good at handling a large crowd.
I'm not usually a fan of deep dish pizza, but this place does it on point. Light and bubbly, not to heavy. Just the right amount of well thought toppings. Gooey cheese, crisp edges. The cocktails are a bit north of pricey, but worth it in my opinion. A tad pretentious, but nice and clean decor. Good place for a date cause it's not overly busy and has a relaxed comfortable feel.
The food was really great, and it's got great decor. Be prepared to pay though. Mains and cocktails are pricey, but well worth it.
The duck confit was excellent, as was the charcuterie board!
Overall very good, but kind of weird. Walked in and saw a bar, quickly became apparent that the bar at the front is not really for food or drinks (it is a cafe?), but once I got to the real(?) bar in the restaurant part things made more sense. Can't say I loved the pizza but I also don't like cars or music from Detroit so it probably just is not for me, will defiantly be back to try other things on the menu.
It was a little on the pricey side, but the food was really good. The pizza crust for the thick crust was crusty on the outside and like a pillow inside. We had a watermelon salad, Hawaiian and a pepperoni pizza. My family voted that the pepperoni was the best. I also had a Holy Roller Sangria. The first drink was amazing, the second seemed to be boozier. I'd go back.
One of the nicest looking venues in Edmonton! The food was amazing and both the service and drink selection were awesome. Shout out to Bray, Tessa and the GM for the great hospitality! I will be back soon. Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.
