I had the spinach pastry for an appetizer and the marinated chicken with Caesar salad and potatoes for my meal. Everything tasted phenomenal. I normally don't like cooked spinach but that stuffed pastry was very tasty. Dipped in the sauce served alongside it, it was an excellent opening dish. The potatoes I had with my meal were also superb. They were very moist and packed with flavour, but they didn't fall apart on the fork when I dipped them. An excellent sweet spot.
The chicken however, was the main attraction. Served on pita bread with tomatoes, onions, and a perfect amount of spice and oil, it was without a doubt the best chicken souvlaki I have had in quite some time. It was cooked so the outside was crispy but the inside was moist and so flavourful.
The service was prompt and friendly, everything arriving right as I wanted it. The decor is very charming, and the music they play is an excellent accompaniment to the food I was served. A great experience and one I intend to experience again.

Everything was so delicious and love their coffee too! Also they are really nice and friendly! Definitely will come back again!
Nice and cozy place. The owners/servers are very nice. This is our first time visiting Edmonton and meeting with friends at the same time, we overlooked at the time and overstayed after their closing time and the owners/servers were patiently waiting for us to leave. We are so thankful knowing what they did and we realized that they are originally from Toronto (which we are from as well).
The Oil Lamp is an amazing Resturant. The staff is friendly and wonderful. The food tastes amazing, so flavourful. Really a must visit place. I believe it will be my new favourite go to spot. Good place for family or friends or a date. Had dinner with my boyfriend and they have a great menu selection and good prices
We had a great time and you can tell that this place has a quiet but significant following by regulars. The service was great, as was the food. The plating is more like a meal at home but so is the taste. Delicious!
The Oil Lamp is easily my favourite Greek restaurant in Edmonton. They have fantastic lunch specials and are always quick when it comes to service and food preparation. Their prices are very reasonable and the food is always delicious! Highly recommended!
Wonderful, authentic feeling Greek experience! Great lamb and amazing coffee. Service was so kind and warm, would definitely recommend this place. A little treasure buried deep in edmontons downtown. Will be coming back very soon.
Had dinner before seeing a show across the street. Friendly, efficient service. Tasty food and good portions. I've visited a few times, never had a bad meal.
