Was in today for lunch, Eric H. Was our server, he went above and beyond service, brought my husband tea when we said he had a sore throat and an egg, completely unsolicited. As we were eating our meal, Mai from MasterChef Canada came in, we love her, and we are huge fans of Prairie Noodle Shop, hands down, our go-to place for noodles. Love everything on the menu but can't wait to see what you come up with for menu shake-up! 6 stars!

What a great little place! The server was attentive and great with helping my son with his allergy. The chef came out to double check and then check with us again to see how our meal was. Wow! Taste is fresh and definitely would recommend!

This restaurant is snuck in a basement in west mount with delicious ramen and appetizers for any person to have. The environment is just right for winter with local beer and desserts. The appetizers are to die for and the ramen has a really nice broth. I would recommend the baowich with pork belly and the spicy garlic ramen. The service is really nice and will recommend the dishes. They always have different dumplings and steam buns for the baowich.

I ordered the Gouda Miso soup. It was very flavourful. The soup was unique and I enjoyed it except it was not nearly as hot (temperature) as a soup should be. My daughter had the same soup and she said her's was hot. The others had the pork belly soup which looked very tasty too. I was disappointed that they don't serve coffee but they were okay with us going to Credo next door and bringing in coffee. Service was polite and friendly and helpful. If Prairie Noodle Shop was on the south side I would probably return but given the distance from home it may be a while before I'm back. If someone is looking for a unique raman experience I would recommend Prairie Noodle Shop. Just don't go expecting to have coffee with your meal.

I loved my first experience at Prairie Noodle Shop. The pork belly baowich was amazing, that’s something I’ll crave later. And not to mention the amazing ramen, I personally had the Spicy Garlic Miso and there was such a dynamic of flavour. As well as the service was on point, attentive and accommodating. I will be back for sure!

It is located on 124th street next to Credo, with plenty of street parking available. The menu is short and to the point, and is made up of a handful of different ramen bowls and appetizers (including a children's ramen bowl).  With that, the portions are generous, the service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. The food speaks for itself, with a focus on quality local ingredients. There is not a lot more you can really ask for in a restaurant.

Prairie Noodle Shop has succeeded in bringing ramen mainstream. They hit the theme of "Asian noodles, Prairie flavours" right on the nose. The menu is short and to the point. There were 4 ramen's available and we tried two - the smoked gouda miso and spicy garlic miso pork, both were excellent. The noodles and base of the soup and fresh and made-to-order with Alberta wheat. The broth is complex, delicious and will keep you wanting more. As an appetizer we had the bao'wich, also amazing.

The service was prompt and friendly and prices were reasonable. Dinner for two with drinks was about $50.

We will definitely be back to 124 street for more.

Prairie pork shio:
Broth 8/10. super flavourful and very pork forward with a hint of smoke, great seasoning.
Pork belly and shoulder 9/10. Absolutely delicious, cooked and seasoned perfectly it was melt in your mouth.
Noodles 3/10. Only because they were cooked Al dente otherwise I'd say 1/10. Straight noodles do not belong in ramen in my opinion, these noodles had the wrong texture and bite, they basically ruined the entire bowl. What a shame.
"Umeboshi" egg 3/10. Once again cooked perfectly, but was so overpoweringly acidic. Vinegar was all I could taste for the rest of my meal.

I applaud Prairie noodle for trying to re create traditional ramen but unfortunately they're creative additions did not work. If they switched to using sun noodle or a fresh made wavy noodle for their shio and went to the classic ajitsuke tomago instead of the vinegar soaked egg, I'd be eating here multiple times a week.

Service was top notch, restaurant was very clean, price was on the higher side: $15.50/bowl with any additional toppings at a premium cost: $3 for extra egg...
Parking is $3/hr.

Great ramen! Neat place. We tried the same and it was delicious. There are only 4 choices so not much of a selection. The bowls are tasty. Mine had a great smokey flavour.

Went here because their menu looked good, and I was pleased.  Both the Chicken and Pork Shio were tasty and satisfying, and the Edamame was tasty with the yuzu dressing they put on it.  Service for us was perfectly good, and the server was polite if not overly talkative.  We went in later in the evening, so that might have helped but I'd definitely go here again.  Two big bowls of food for $15-ish each in Edmonton?  I'll take it

I went to Prairie Noodle Shop right after it opened and was really disappointed with the quality of the ramen. The broth had very little flavour and the noodles were too chewy. I gave them another shot just last week after hearing they had revamped the menu and was impressed with the changes. I had the Smoked Gouda Miso and it was packed with flavour and just the right amount of cheese and my boyfriend had the Spicy Garlic Miso Pork (definitely the winner!) The broth of the pork was delicious with a good amount of heat and lots of garlic. They also have a decent selection of Canadian and Japanese craft beers. If you were disappointed your first time around I'd recommend giving Prairie Noodle a second chance!

Fabulous Canadiana take on my beloved Ramen. Meets up to the hype. The bao special was out of this world and leaves me dreaming of my next experience. The local craft beer selection was phenomenal and paired marvellously with my chicken ramen. Well done Prairie Noodle Shop.
