I tried three kinds: philly steak, cheese and onion, and seafood.
The philly steak was good, but could have been much better. Quite frankly, I'm not a fan of the chewy (and un-chewable) parts of meat.
The seafood was a surprise because it actually had a good amount of seafood AND I could actually TASTE the seafood. It was really good.
But my favorite was the onion and cheese: it was stuffed wonderfully, baked perfectly, and the onion and cheese tastes were prominent.
That being said, each piece is almost $3, so would I come here on the days where I am really starving? Probably not. But if I want a little snack, I'd make sure to pass by.
After seeing the photos and reviews, I wanted to take a plunge and try this place. Staff were very friendly, and best of all the food was excellent! The baked empanadas were crispy and smelled so good! Definitely, another hidden gem in Edmonton! =)
First time there today, its a mom and pop shop so don't expect anything fancy, but its been my experience that they usually have the best foods. We tried the beef, ham and cheese, cheese and onion and cheese and spinach. The beef was great exactly what I was craving and the cheese and onion tasted like a lil French onion soup packet. The other two were good but not as delicious.the dough is fantastic and totally makes the empanada.
