Thank you to the young lady working here who, on realising that my 7yr olds ice cream had fallen on the floor immediately offered to replace it. Much appreciated.
Ok burgers - typical fast food. The last time we were at the Lakeview DQ, the interior was still stuck in the 70s, with the uni colour bench seats, tables, and walls. I don't believe the Orange Julius monicker was there.
On our latest outing to this DQ, the interior has been updated, it looks nice, earth tones and modern. Left hand side is the Orange Julius, somewhat hidden behind a wall.
We must've hit some kind of soccer tournament as it was busy with parents bringing in their kids for a cool treat.
We wound up ordering 4 items - $8 - plus a mushroom swiss burger. The 4 items consisted of 2 cheese burgers, fries, and onion rings (regular size).
The burgers itself was ok, nothing really spectacular though. The meat had a charred taste, which I liked. The bun was a tad stale and dry - having worked in a burger joint, we would order buns on Friday for the whole weekend, so by Sunday the buns were already 2 days old, from the taste of the buns, I'm guessing this DQ does the same thing.
The cheeseburgers had the usual mustard, pickles, and ketchup; I would preferred relish over mustard. Fries were ok, but by the time we drove home it already had cooled off so it wasn't as good vs. coming out of the fryer, same with the onion rings.
Overall, value is ok, the $8 4 item deal isn't bad, but just don't expect the food to knock your socks off.
