I work at the Park doing education programs and interpretation in various sites. I often stop here for lunch or a late snack when waiting for my ride. The sandwiches are great, love the toasted bacon and cheese one. Hot apple pie with whipped cream and the soda pop is fantastic. Love the Orange Creme soda. . . stop for a coffee, pop and dessert on your bike ride or walk. It's right on the bike path. They also have Heritage Parks famous Cinnamon buns and butter tarts. mmmmmm

First time stopping at railway cafe and I was very pleased. The staff were friendly and quick to get things moving. I dare say, it was the best latte that I’ve had in weeks. Nice sunny spot on the deck to enjoy rounded out the experience.

Scotty and the team put together a terrific atmosphere. Fantastic sandwiches and daily specials. Today’s was Prime Rib. Great deal for $10. One of my go to’s is a freshly made toasted bacon tomato and cheese. If you are coming to the park or just walking or cycling by stop in. Enjoy

Ichiban Noodles

Not sure if people are aware that this place is open during off season. The Railway Cafe is open year round, and we eat here every once in awhile on a Sunday. They usually have a beef stew that comes with a biscuit. The stew itself is full of meat and potatoes. You get a healthy portion when ordering a bowl. It comes in 2 sizes, a cup or a bowl. They also have a selection of wraps and sandwiches which are always tasty as well. Where you pay there is a ice filled well built into the counter that had a selection of pop in glass bottles. My younger one likes drinking pop from a bottle. It's a good place to eat if you want a more quiet laid back place to eat. After your finished eating you can head across the way to the shops which are also open during the winter. I believe you get a 10% discount if you have an annual pass.

Absolutely pleased with the Railway Cafe and Staff while performing there as a DJ. I would definitely not hesitate to recommend such a really great place for an intimate wedding up to 45-50 people in attendance. The washrooms were clean, food was delicious and staff were pleasant to deal with. Thanks again.

The staff are always friendly and dressed in time period appropriate costume. The fresh gingerbread men and cinnamon buns are scrumptious and a must have! The coffee is good too. It would be great to have a little more variety of fresh foods there as they have more than enough room for seating.
