Local bar. Food selection is good and they are famous for their selection of wing flavors. Wing Wednesday nights tend to be a packed house so get there early. Live bands (hit and miss) Friday and Saturday. Lots of screens to watch sports.Service is hit and miss. Some nights its great but other nights its awful and there's no link between how busy they are and the quality of service.Last time I went the server spilt a glass of beer for an adjacent table down my back (completely soaked my back not just a splash) as she tried to squeeze through a chair gap that was far too tight instead of simply walking around the table) and though she apologized over and over and over again, there was no offer to cover the cost of our meal or drinks or dry cleaning. We waited to give her the opportunity to make it up to us but nothing. We thought that was fairly brutal and so we left so I could get a change of clothes and we went elsewhere.
Came here for wings and wow do they ever have a lot of flavours! The wings were a good size, with a lot of meat on them, cooked nicely and seasoned well.
I stuck with my traditional medium/hot as some of the flavours sounded a bit too much for me. The wings had a good amount of heat - not too much so that you couldn't taste anything but enough that you could feel it.
Their patio is nice, which is where we sat, was quite dark inside, no windows!
The brie burger was actually very good, I also liked the coleslaw, but want a very big fan of their egg drop soup not their whiskey burger, might have been a bit to sweet and was over cooked.
It was a very busy place so service was a tad bit slow.
Probably one of the best places to go for wings in the city. 69 flavours to choose from so I'm sure you'll never get bored! I've only been here for wings so I can't speak for much other than that. The service was pretty good and I'll definitely be back for wings!
Amazing beef dip!!!! To be honest all their food is amazing!!!! Very very nice staff. Highly recommend to anyone :) nice and clean, nice and roomy not overly crowded. I crave their food, that is how great it is, they have I believe 69 flavours of chicken wings now which is crazy but also really fun to try some new flavours with some friends :)
Great neighborhood pub. Good food at good prices. Live music on weekends. Started going here about a year ago and always have great service. Mixed crowd, wide range in ages. Weekends have a decent size crowd without being overcrowded and rowdy.

I shall retrurn!. I quite enjoyed the little hole in the wall pub, not so little ! With all the changes to the pub it felt very clean ! Food fantastic, it seems someone cares in the kitchen, soups to die for , I haven't managed to run into any bad service there, which is good , I would complain to the bartender if that were the case , I always find poor reviews get posted quicker, any other posts do ! ppl like to complain , some are ligiti. I wanted to put a gooder up here this pub has carisima ppl. Service is always a given! But great service is not ! i will keep going back because of that great service, I also like to support family ran biz they keep it real! If you want to be rotated through a eating mill with servers watching you eat and than heard you out of their place like sheep, because the next wallet is walking in! You can visit earls,joey tomato, or any other corp. rest. I enjoy being a reg. getting to know a few people and relaxing! Now really this would not have happened anywhere else , This pub is a little home away from home! go in maybe they will call you Norm! Cheers loving this pub and all the service and mangt. that goes hand and hand the place is ran like a finely oiled machine! Oh and they have "69" flavours of wings
Dumplings / Spike Burger / All the Soups. The Head Chef here knows what he's doing.. The Homemade sauces, burgers and soups are just delicious. Live music, great people, and a good atmosphere for a little neighborhood pub!
Amazing staff!. I have been coming to this pub for the last 4 years and have seen it transform from a place that you wouldn't want to bump the drunk next to you for fear of a fight breaking out to a place where i would feel free to bring my entire family! Last June when my family and I cam down there was a rude customer annoying the tables around them. The staff noticed the disturbance and quickly got them to pay and leave. They were very professional about the whole thing despite the guests yelling that they would rather go to the other pubs in the area (good riddance)!! Amazing food, great staff. They have put the neighbour back into neighbourhood pub. Good on ya Owl!
Winkin' Owl. The food is always good there, especially the soup, the cook is a master of the soup pot. They also have some great specials there like the half price bottles of wine on Tuesday, .19 cent wings on Wednesday, and many other great food and drink specials.
Also, the owner is always there during the day and she is very approachable if you do have any issues at all. It really has a great atmosphere to it and with the recent renovations, the place feels very clean and very inviting to be in, a very warm neighborhood pub. T.V.'s in every corner of the bar and having all the different sports playing all the time.
As for the staff, great group of girls that work the floor and behind the bar and they are all really good looking and very friendly. As for the guys behind the bar, good bunch of guys and friendly as hell. Overall, a really good pub that I have been going to since the new ownership 2 years ago and they have definitely earned my business.
