Despite previous reviews I've found that this place is amazing. They do serve basil with your pho upon request and the staff are very very nice and friendly. Always smiling and happy to serve each table. Anything you need can simply be asked for and they will accommodate to each and every single one of your needs. Food is very good and very cheap especially if you are eating with a group of people. Nice atmosphere for a little place in Ogden. Pictures of the menu's on here are not up to date.
Just ask them to serve all of the dishes at the same time. They have a tendency to bring out whatever dishes that's ready . Everyone else who didn't get their dish/bowl will watch you eat your food. New owners, good service.
What a surprise!. So, I am in town from Ottawa, my parents my aunt and I are going out for lunch. They suggest their favourite lunch spot Saigon Gourmet. We get seated order our lunch and are sipping tea, the waitress comes over and tells us the man that just left has just paid the bill for our table. WHAT we say, yes she says that table of three guys has picked up your tab. How nice is that. Big shout out to the nice man that treated us. Thank you. Now for a big shout out to the staff of the Saigon Gourmet, the food and service were both great. It is always nice to have these small places you can count on to be well fed. Ottawa will hear about the warm welcome I got in Calgary!
Great Food Best Service!!!. I was just there today with my kids and the food was awesome plus the service was great. I never get charged for any extras sauce!!!!
Won over, again.. When new ownership took over at the beginning of the year they were off to a rocky start in the service department.
After a bad initial first impression we went back and the previous quality that kept my fiancee and I coming back once or twice a week is still here. The restaurant is still one of Lynnwood's hidden gems.
Consistently Good. Saigon Gourmet is great. I've been going to this restaurant since it was new and the food and service has always been great since the first time I went. It's family owned. They are very good, friendly and efficient. I've tried many food items from the menu, all made well and very good quality. My favorite is their grilled shrimp. I think it's the best in town.
We live around Saigon and it is the best! We heard the rave reviews on CBC radio and have been going ever since. The food is delish and the staff is very friendly. I recommend it for sure!
Every body talks about the food which is the best Vietnamese in town but you have to try the spring rolls no one does them better
Perfect. I don't mind having a menu with letters and numbers and photos under the glass on the table. The food just outweighs anything. I ordered House Special B, stir-fried chicken curry, it was fantastic and you will not be hungry afterwards.
Hidden Gem Worth Diging For. Five minutes north from the Glenmore and 18th ST. SE interchange, in Lynwood Ridge, Saigon Gourmet isn't an impulse eatery, it's a destination. Not for the ambiance which is pretty basic, although its very clean. But its all about the food which for most dishes is as good Vietnamese as we've had. But try the Pho. These people do the best Vietnamese soup we've had with fresh bean sprouts and basil, and amazing broth, at least in the sate beef, # 19. I'm addicted.
But again, maybe it is the ambiance; with Dad (I assume) slaving in the kitchen, Mom supervising front of house, daughters helping out after school - all very charming. We make the trip about twice a week. Sometimes more.
