I wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving with my elderly Mother who lives in an assisted living complex. Instead of cooking the meal for 2 people myself, I opted to get everything from Swiss Chalet takeout. Sam Sidd, the General Manager, was incredibly polite and helpful when filling my order of 2 Thanksgiving meals with sides & dessert. Upon arrival at my destination, the food was still warm and delicious! It made for an easy and very tasty Thanksgiving! Thank you, Sam!
This was our first time ordering online and the chicken was cooked perfectly, I love their gravy. And the staff during pick up was friendly and quick.Recommended!
The good: the food. Fresh, fast and tasty.
The bad: The service. Slow doesn't begin to cover it. Took 20 minutes to take our drink order (and food order since we had enough time to decide). The explanation we got was "we don't know what happened." Yeah, neither do we...
This was not the first time we've had slow service either. Another time saw us wait nearly 10 minutes to be acknowledged and they only did so after we said something. We didn't stay.
The quality of the staff is hit and miss. We've had both good and bad, but more often bad.
The verdict: If you want to sit in, go to the Swiss Chalet on MacLeod near Heritage. Consistently better service. If you don't mind doing take out, this location is good.
