I always have a great time at The Cat n Fiddle. Great staff, good food specials, and awesome food. It's an excellent neighborhood pub!
It's a great place with great service, good food and the regulars are fantastic people whom make you feel welcome to be there, the Patio is large and some of it is covered if you need a bit of cool shade, come over I think you will like it :)
Atmosphere: Not terrible, but not one of the nicer pubs.
Service: Server Kiwi was friendly but kept forgetting stuff. She was sweet though and seemed like she was trying.
Food: Blue cheese burger was delicious. Patty was juicy and meaty. Sauce was good. Fries were alright at best. tasted like they were from frozen, or maybe only fried once rather than twice which makes fries delicious.
Value: Burgers were in the 16 dollar range. They had some good specials though. $10 Saturday steak sandwich. Few other cheap things on menu too.
I would totally come back. There's a parking lot too which is awesome
Not a bad pub. I like the atmosphere and the layout but I've been there three times now and the service had been extremely inattentive each time.
I love coming here. The dumpling and taco specials are my favorite, (accompanied by a cold beer) after a hard day of work. Everyone is so friendly and they always remember my face ( even the customers). I defiantly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a hot meal and a warm friendly face.
Have never thought about coming in here before, glad I tried it!! Food was surprisingly good, great veggie burger! and so was the atmosphere! Our server Danika was so nice and made our night amazing and the manager mike was great too! Thanks so much guys! You will see lots of us, keep up the great work!
Amazing burger and service!. After passing by this pub for so many years, I finally decided to go inside. And I am glad I went.
The servers, bartenders and manager were exceptionally gracious and kind. They understand what customer service is all about.
Decided to order the Mega Cat's Ass Burger challenge, where you try to eat a 3 pound burger with side dish in under 15 minutes. Was able to do the challenge in under 8 minutes but it was because the burger was amazing -- juicy and very flavourful. If you like Boogie's Burgers, you will definitely enjoy the burgers at Cat n Fiddle!
Can't wait to try other items on the menu and the quality of the food is above what you find at most other pubs.

We visited Cat n Fiddle after walking out from a nearby pub because of horrible service. At the Cat we found the service to be courteous and prompt. We ordered onion rings, a Cat Burger and an Angry Cat burger. While we didn't necessarily enjoy the onion rings or fries, we found the burgers to be great.
Pure Pub. Drove by the other week and thought it looked like a good one to try. Lots of parking and great traditional pub feel inside. Lots of specials but the breakfast was a hit at $3.99 for 2 eggs, hashbrowns, toast and bacon or sausage. Too bad we already ate breakfast so we went for the lunch special - steak sandwich. Steak was great, topped with real mushrooms and great fries for $8.95 coupled with drink specials. The quality was great and the bill less painful than most of Calgary's high priced pubs. Well done and will definitely go back for more.
Returned for breakfast and did not disappoint. New menu - brought in the crowd - just need more staff.
Can't go wrong with 9cent wings. For the whole January they have 9cent wing and domestic beer for abt $4 evry Monday. Yes the wings here are small, the flavors are average but overall this is still such a good deal!! Plus I personally prefer small wings cuz they tend to be crispier and absorb the flavor more quickly. The service here is pretty prompt and friendly too. I'd definitely come back for their wing deals
Tasty pub food. We went there for dinner Christmas Eve-Eve and were very happy with the food and the selection of draft! Roomy interior with lots of nooks and crannies for a nice quiet dinner. Excellent service. We'll be back!
It was ok. Went there last weekend, and had some nachos and wings. The wings were nothing to write home about, small tiny little things, with pretty much no meat. The sauce was good, I did enjoy that. The nachos were ok, but all the cheese was piled at the top. We did order later at night and the cook was probably tired, which I can under stand. All in all the food was mediocre. The service is what would bring me back. The server was super nice, and chatty but not over bearing. The bar it self looks pretty cool. All in all I will definitely go back and try it again, it has potential, just needs another chance.
