Love the breakfast buffet. Come here at least once a month. Delish! Nice variety of food, fresh, hot, well stocked, great price. Love the French toast and strawberry sauce, eggs Benny, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit. Truly a great deal.
Brunch. The brunch on Sunday is the best I've had in Calgary. Excellent selection, fast, friendly service. We go every Sunday now!
Great renovation. Went this morning with a friend for breakfast. Nicely updated, quality of the food was still as good as previous visits. Highly recommend it, the service was also very good.

Went with my wife for the breakfast we were surprised they had a breakfast buffet. Everything was fresh, decent selection of items and the service was great. For $13.99 this was a pretty good deal. They are about to start a renovation so hopefully that means no more shredded booth seats.
Alan. Hot damn! Grey Cup Sunday, good buffet, fresh fruit, eggs benny, bacon, etc... Good service, cold beer, good food! WHADYA WANT! If you're looking for 4 or 5 star quisine, then there are plenty of other restaurants around! And don't forget to tip your server, they have bills to pay! Bon appetit!
Refreshing to find a reasonable priced breakfast buffet with great food. All items were hot and fresh. Buffet is continually monitored. Great service. Buffet on weekends and holidays.

People... it's Smitty's. Apparently some folks have really high expectations. Smitty's is Canadian Denny's. If you are looking for amazing cuisine you should go elsewhere. If you are looking for a cheap place to enjoy OK food with friends (or kids... they're pretty kid friendly) then this is a great place to go.
We popped in for the breakfast buffet this weekend and were pleasantly surprised. Good variety of food and the kitchen staff were constantly out replacing and refilling the buffet stations. I enjoyed the eggs benedict and the french toast with berry sauce. Sausages were so-so. They were well cooked but there was some odd kind of seasoning mixed into the meat that I didn't care for.
My husband said the potato casserole was good too.
Smitty's is cheaper than Denny's and the food is on par with what you would expect from a diner.
BEST BREAKFAST ON Mc Cleod! French toast fluffy, bacon crisp, coffee Hot & plentiful, I will come back!!
