A unique and delicious satay beef pho. Unlike any I have tried before but makes me want to come back. The service was very friendly but they didn’t fill my water until after I was done eating. The decor could definitely use some attention. The food alone will make sure I return.
One of the best noodle soup for sure. I have tried most of the noodle soup on MacLeod Trail, this one is my favour. Our company orders food from here often quick often.
My favorite Beef Satay Soup in the city. There are a lot of good places out there, but the flavor is very distinct here and amazing. The vermicelli bowls and stir-fry is also solid and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
Another fantastic pho spot. My friend and I ducked in here when we were in a bit of a hurry and didn't have any expectations, but we were very pleasantly surprised! Not only was it really good, it was also unique. The sate is obviously a different recipe from most of the sate you find around here and we were honestly talking about it for days afterwards. I love finding new places with delicious pho, but I hadn't expected to find a whole new taste from this little place. I also love the decor, and the service was excellent. Even though the server (she seemed like an owner too) seemed pretty busy, she made sure to check on us and was very friendly.
The sate beef is there only thing I come here for. So far I tried lots on the menu and this is by far the best. No matter how hungry I am this hard to finish. Please try it I recommend it!
Please place for Pho! Only place better would be in Saigon, Vietnam.
Quality has increased. Love this place because of the broth. Has a nice tangy aftertaste to it. Everything comes out how it looks in the menu too.
give it a 8/10 !
My family has been going to Saigon Y2K(recently Heart of Saigon) for many years, and we are regular customers. We love Vietnamese food and we've tried many places, but have never found anything compared to this place. My husband's favourite is the pho soup and he says that they always use fresh meat, you can tell when they're stale and old, also the flavour of the soup is to die for. I usually order whatever my cravings call for. My daughter loves their prawn and salad rolls, and says that they're the best. The service is great and the owner is a great guy, very friendly and great with our daughter. We've recommended this restaurant to many of our friends and family, and they also say the same about their food. Whenever we feel hungry and don't feel like cooking we always go there. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. If you haven't tried Heart of Saigon, you must, you won't regret it.
Good Food. I've worked in the area for years, and Y2K/Heart of Saigon is an institution. The service has been kinda up-and-down the last year or so and they don't always handle it well: on one occasion, we sat and waited for 45 minutes because, as it turned out, they were very understaffed. So only open up those tables you can serve!
Still, overall, it's the best place around.
Best rolls EVER. I used to work in the area 8 years ago and this place was a biweekly routine back in the day. Now that I work/live downtown I have no reason to go there and make do with the restaurants in my area. My husband and I were recently on Macleod Trail so we stopped into Saigon Y2K (as I have banned Bagolac, see my other review)
I'd kind of forgotten how incredibly delicious Vietnamese food can be, so delicious I used to need to have it at least twice a week. Our lunch was AMAZING -- salad rolls -- fresh texture, best dipping sauce I've had in years. I had spring rolls/chicken on vermicelli and savored every crispy, flavorful bite. My husband had chicken sate soup and raved about the broth.
Downside: I won't get a chance to go back very often and now the other places are a very distant replacement.
