Excellent hidden gem. I have been here three times so far in a month and food as well as service have been excellent. Burgers are great as well as wings and calamari. Will be back.
Really good. They got this one server/bartender Brittany... she is amazing.. The place has great service and the drunken chicken burger is da bomb.
Decent sports bar hidden in a hotel. Macleod Trail has umpteen hundred restaurants on it, everything from the fairly high end down to the run-of-the-mill chains. But we noticed that the Holiday Inn had a restaurant in it, so dropped in on a recent visit to Calgary. It turned out to be a good decision.
Located just off the lobby, the space is divided into a bit of a sports lounge and a restaurant, which seem to share the menu. We were looking for dinner on the late side, so we decided to avoid the empty restaurant and join a few habitues in the lounge.
The server was friendly and fast, and the draft beer was good.
The food was resto-pub standard, from the look of the menu, so we ordered nachos and a burger, both of which were better than average. The nachos were not parsimonious either in total, nor in terms of cheese or chicken, which we had added. The burger was large and generously supplied with toppings and sides.
Cost for dinner was a bit higher than one might have escaped with at, say, a chain fast food place, but then the quality was quite a lot higher. It was not a bad decision to stop here for a late dinner, and we will do so again.
