You pick your protein and then fill the wrap with a mixture of lettuce, basil, mint, carrot, cucumber and vermicelli sprinkled with nuts and green onion. The dipping sauce – nuoc cham – was salty and sour with only a touch of sweetness. Fishier than most Vietnamese restaurants, as my hands smelled strongly for hours afterwards. Mai said there is also hoisin and satay sauce, but I think you need to ask for them.
I enjoyed the ambiance here, it was bright, trendy and relaxed. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Ordered the sate seafood pho and what I liked the most was the sate was actually spicy and flavorful. At other pho restaurants sometimes i find the sate lacks spice. Enjoyed my food and will be back again!
Overall this is a decent place. The ramen was flavourful with a nice portion of noodles. The beef was pretty good quality and held up well to the broth. The broth is ok, and tasty. Not like dedicated ramen places, but pretty darn good. The beef noodles soup special was pretty amazing. The beef shank meat was excellently marinated and cooked. Nice blend of soft cartilage and firm meat. Rather difficult to get the preparation done properly and the flavour was very nice. Nice to have a good selection spanning different cuisines.
