Gate of India is totally a hidden little spot and we are so glad that we found it!!! The food here is incredible. So flavorful and the spices are perfect. Portions are big and prices are fair. We have been to a lot of places around Calgary and this is definitely our favourite Indian food spot!!! We have only ever done take out so I cant comment on the sit down experience but I know the owner and staff have always been nothing but friendly and amazing.

Only opportunity is wait times..... needing to be quicker however the quality is well worth the wait.

This place is a hidden gem. Went first time today with my husband for it was my birthday. Staff was nice..and the food was the best indian food iv had till now in calgary ! And the quantity was amazing too!!! Loved it

We went Sunday night Gate of India to celebrate our anniversary With twelve people,restaurant was busy but server was very friendly and he arranged the big table for us, food and service everything was amazing.Owner is previous owner of Taste of India symons valley NW. I know Kailash very well and he is very famous chef and person in Calgary, keep it guys we will come back and recommend other people.

I stumbled across this gem on a very cold February evening. The staff were prompt to greet me and friendly. They offered me papadums as a starter. They came with authentic Indian sauces and were just right. I was craving goat so for my main course I selected goat biriani and a side of garlic nan. My server asked my spicy preference and I said “hot please”. Both dishes came promptly, were hot and perfectly prepared. The goat is bone in, succulent and tender. Also, the biriani came with a side of house made riata which more than enhanced the meal. Try this place out. It’s going to be on my must visit list every time I’m in the vicinity.

I absolutely loved my meal! I got take-out and it was so delicious with very impressive and authentic flavours. Very friendly service as well.

Food was delicious, delivery came on time, lot of choices for dishes. We will definitely order delivery again. Our 2 and 4 year olds enjoyed it too.

Great East Indian Restaurant food was excellent, great service, food was yummy . atmosphere was friendly decor was cozy.next time they said try our lunch buffet which are veggie and non-veggie option dish.i will defiantly commanded and come back again and again...

Absolutely Amazing!

This is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants in the city. The quality of food was exceptional, and the service was superb! Our server's name was Umesh. He was extremely knowledgeable of all menu items and helped me with my selection based on personal experience. Everything was cooked to perfection with a high emphasis on traditional Indian style. I would 100% recommend this location to anyone looking for a great meal. They have every day Lunch Buffet also and this is best option now in the NW.
