This place is amazing! some of the best in the city.
go early as later in the night the soups have mixed in the air and it can get a bit smelly in there.
The best find in town. Highly recommended. Solo pots for everyone.
No worries for allergies.
Went for a friends birthday dinner, there were 25 of us. . . the concept is good but I am not sure if you are full at the end of the meal or just tired from all the dipping. The quality of the food is good, its up to you to make your broth. I got the satay base and added different spices and sauces to make it mine. Overall a good way to share a dinner with friends. $25 all you can eat, BUT do not have a lot of left overs you get charged for what you do not eat. (we put the few left overs we had in the left over broth to hide it LOL
My boyfriend and I came here to have our first hot pot experience while visiting Calgary. The staff were friendly but did not explain things to us that well. We shared a lunch combo because we didn’t know how much would come with it. It was the perfect taster size for two! We ordered the Szechuan broth, it was salty and spicy. We added extra Chili paste and green onion to it. I loved the experience of cooking the items on our own and making our own flavour combinations. I would come back again to try something else, maybe a different broth or other meat/veggie options.
Great for late night all-you-can-eat or what looked to be (at another table) a generous single-serve hotpot meal. The meat pasted and deep fried tofu rolls were my favourite, while my wife said the chicken wings were juicy and flavourful. Loved the wide array of sauces, and the service was friendly and prompt. Great place to go with friends, as a couple, or even on your own.
Always looking for a good dim sum place. We really don't believe that silver dragon is the only dt resturant to have dim sum. We liked the spacious resturant and friendly service and the photos. You can pay anyway you like but cash is king here.. only 3.95 a dish. Better than eateries who dictate that it's cash or nothing. The only thing is that parking is a bear.
First time coming here for dim sum on a Saturday afternoon. This place serves mainly hotpot in the evenings but I noticed during lunch they have good deals and various soup dishes for only $4.95. I also like that most of the items on their dim sum menu are for the same price. $3.95 if you pay cash, and $4.95 if debit/credit. In my opinion paying cash is worth the discount. Food quality was good for the price. Crepe rolls were a little overdone (a little mushy) and the chicken feet was a little overcooked too. They have their weekend specials - xiao long baos, fried taro/pork ball, bumble bee looking fried shrimp dumplings and a variety of rice crepes which was unique. Service was also good which was surprising. For two people we were full at 30 bucks which was a deal in our opinion!
I came here on a Saturday morning and decided to give the dim sum a try. After being seated I noticed they had a good selection on their dim sum menu with pictures (clever). They seemed to have about 30ish items on the menu with about 10 different types of rice crepes. I ordered the vegetable dumpling (nice and chewy), bbq rice crepe (nice texture), bean curd with meat (oh man the flavors were amazing), beef ball (normal like another other restaurant), and shrimp & scallop dumpling (delicious). The prices here are a steal ($5 per dish) with an extra discount if you pay in cash. I'd recommend this place if you're looking to try something new.
Went for Hot Pot in the evening with some colleagues from work. The premise is simple. You choose a broth from their menu, then heat it up on the burners in front of you. Then you choose what you want to eat and the server will bring it to you. For dipping sauces, again it's self-serve. There's a table with nearly 15 different types of items for you to create your sauce with. I went with the miso broth as miso soup is one of my all time favourites. It was good, not at all salty. For the food, they have a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables and noodles for you to use in the hot pot. By far, the most popular items were the beef and the udon noodles. I went with the beef, lamb, udon, Chinese mushrooms, oyster, squid, cuttlefish ball and basa fillets, and dumplings for my items. It was all very tasty. Tried some chicken and the special pork ball along with a couple other new items and they were okay too. The service was pretty good. All in all, a good dining experience and I'd come back again.

Who can say no to Hotpot. The quality of the meat is excellent, service is what you'd expect, the restaurant is clean, and in the end it's Hotpot!!
Enjoy, I always do.
Our table was moved because they were extremely busy that night, so I highly recommend getting a reservation.
Everyone gets an individual pot and has the ability to control it's temperature, which is great. There is a lot of selection available from the menu, they feature a sauce bar and they cover your chair to protect your jackets/purses. The service was great and even though it was extremely busy that night, you could always find a waiter.
My only complaint is that this place is pricey and stingy in certain areas:
- tea is not free; it's per CUP (not per pot, per CUP), so everyone had to pay $1.50 for a tea cup. We poured it all out and it only had enough to fill our cups once (didn't order more, don't know if you get a free refill)
- we ordered a pitcher of a sugar cane juice and the jug is tiny
- if you're splitting the bill and there are more than two cards, you get an automatic 15% gratuity charge added on; which in our case wasn't too bad because we had a large table, but it's worth noting
We've been coming here for years. The food is great, the service is awesome. BUT the one reason why they're not a five star rating is because they're very cheap about the condensed milk! When I order the deep fried buns they don't come with enough condensed milk and when I ask for more comdensed milk they don't come back with enough! Word of advice for anyone coming here to eat, bring your own condensed milk!!!!!!!
Decent, I didn’t find it outstanding. The ingredients weren’t the best, but wasn’t bad either. Having individual pots were nice and I liked that I was able to go mix my own sauce. Overall, I would visit again.
Amazing: honestly this was my first hot pot experience but the location is easy to find, is attached to a parking lot with fair prices and the food was amazing. They were very busy when we went but the service was still good. We had a large party of 10 so a standard tip was added to our bill as per normal food service standards and they were very accommodating when we wanted to split the bill. They have a great selection of broths and food items, the sauce station is very clean and I will 100% be back again☆
Sadly, no items were labeled as Gluten Free, which is a very uncommon allergy amongst Asian people, but many non Asians eat there and it would be nice to see it on the broth menu.
Finally giving homage to the Chinese kid in me, Chinese Hot Pot All you can eat place 1Pot is a return to pure simplicity and tasty dishes. Great variety, comforting flavors and warm feelings. Love the place.
The food and atmosphere was amazing. From the outside it seems like a rough looking place but inside it's super nice. One of the most unique restaurant experiences I've ever had. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because it's a little more expensive than I like to pay for one meal. If you go on an empty stomach and can eat a lot then it's definitely worth it. I completely recommend going and getting the endless one pot meal. Just be prepared to spend more money than at a typical restaurant. But it's definitely worth it. I would go again and tell my friends about it.
Amazing experience for me. I went here with my family, and my folks definitely love the hot pot we had. The broth was very flavorful and very delicious. The warm soup suits the weather. The ingredients are amazing too! I love the options of what we could put in our hot pot..very satisfying indeed. Good service and nice staff too!
We come here often for hotpot. The price for all you can eat is very reasonable and they have a great selection of food! They have delicious soup bases to choose from and lots of different condiments and toppings to make your own dipping sauce. I highly recommend their house made sugar cane juice, it's so refreshing and it goes perfect with hotpot.
Keep in mind their service is a little inconsistent at times, especially when it gets a little busy and they forget to bring you all your food. But overall, we've had good experiences here!
Their hot pot here is really delicious, going here on a chilly weather is just so perfect. The broth is so flavorful that just the broth itself is already very satisfying. The street food dishes are so nice too! Our family loved every bit of our orders. Service is good and servers are nice and helpful to us.
