Consistently excellent food and great service. Just wish the place was bigger to cut down on waiting time, but definitely worth the wait.

My boyfriend and I went to Cora for breakfast last weekend. It was our first having Cora breakfast in Calgary. We had Cora in Vancouver and other cities before. This time We’ve been to the location nearby our place on 130 Ave SE, Calgary. Cora is a Canadian chain of casual restaurants serving breakfast and lunch. The first Cora was opened in Quebec, and now just Cora elsewhere in Canada. There are more than 50 franchises in Quebec and 130 across Canada.
Environment:
We arrived the restaurant around 9 am. The restaurant was very busy. There were lots of people in the restaurant. Luckily, we didnt wait for too long to get a table. Inside the restaurant was nice and clean. All the decorations on the wall are very simple and cute looking.
Server:
After we sat down, our table server brought the menu to us and began to take an order for the drink. Both of us had Coffee. After took an order, the server brought our drink to the table very fast. Our server was nice and friendly.
Food:
After discussed few minutes about the menu, we decided to order Tomatoes, bacon and green onions and Julie the Girlfriend for breakfast. Tomatoes, bacon and green onions was made by Poached eggs on an English muffin covered with hollandaise sauce served with roasted potatoes and fresh fruit. Available with one, two or three poached eggs! Julie the Girlfriend included 2 eggs, bacon and roasted potatoes served with a tasty chocolate brioche dipped in French toast batter and garnished with bananas, English cream Cora style and strawberry sauce. All the food came out from kitchen fast. They were well cooked and fresh. Most importantly, all the food were very healthy.
Prices:
The prices of the food were a little bit of expensive. But, I strongly believe that it’s worth the prices since they were all in super large portion, and healthier for people.
In summary, we had a great experience in Cora.
On a weekday morning, we were able to walk right in. My friend had the eggs Benedict which came with an impressive supply of nicely presented fruit. I had a plain old French Toast and that was good as well. The attentive staff served us promptly and kept us topped up. The restaurant itself is pleasant and clean. Pretty much everything you want in a breakfast place - good service, good selection of food, good quality.
I mean, it's Cora's so what do you expect other than an incredibly tasty breakfast. The fruit on the side is very fresh and tasty. The eggs benedict is cooked how you like it and the hollandaise they put on has a nice lemony hint to it. Their chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream on top are such a treat in the morning, but light enough to be able to finish them easily. Really enjoy Cora's (but really, who doesn't)
Just what you'd expect from Cora – so fresh, delicious, loaded with fruit, a good value and of course an extra looong wait to get in.
In summer, if you get a chance the patio is nice.
My tip is to go on a week day, or for a weekend to arrive before 8 AM. If you come on a weekend after 8 AM, it's a wait to get a table and the parking lot can get quite congested.
Always a popular spot especially on a weekend but I find the lineup goes by quick. Staff is attentive and does there best to manage the amount of people to service. Food is consistently great.
This is a great chain breakfast and lunch place. The menu is huge. And the fruit is always nice and fresh. The price is right as well. Highly recommend if you can't decide on a place to go with your partner or you have kids. There's usually a line on the weekends for brunch, so get there early.

I'll be back!! - Food that you'll return over and over again for.. Went to the Sunridge location (on the east side of the mall, facing 36th Street), and even being there first thing, it was packed within the first twenty minutes of opening on a Tuesday. The waiter was incredible. He helped us with the plethora of deliciously looking menu items. All at the same time, while having my Australian friend in stiches with his wonderful table side manners. Funny to the spot... And for the food.... One word. Delicious... I ordered a fruit/crepe combo. Loads of fruit. And a hearty serving of wafer thin crepes that melted in your mouth. All layered with blueberry syrup. Totally yummy!!... She had a heaping plate filled with fruit, eggs, bacon, pancakes, and a side order of toast. Doggie-bag is all I can say. Not sure if she got it past security at the airport, but she had a blast. -- A few years back I ate at the 130th Avenue SE, another wonderful experience. No complaints. I'd totally go back... again.. and again...
Summer Bliss? Waffle. Limited time ..hope not! Delicious waffle custard peaches granola scrumptious. No need for syrup!
I love Cora's!! I'm not much of a breakfast person, but I would eat breakfast everyday here if I could! I think I love the emphasis on fresh fruit more than anything. I always order the crepe-panini with bacon. It's amazing! 3/4 of my plate is always loaded with fresh fruit. I always leave full, but not in a greasy, bloated way.
Delicious!!. The staff was so helpful and kind, putting up with all me and my friend's preferences :) It was a very cozy place and me and my friends had a lovely brunch. The plates were put together so well and the food was oh so delicious. A great place for breakfast or lunch. We will be back again!
