I'm gluten intolerant so I loved that this restaurant was totally gluten free. I've had arepas before and I think these had the best texture I've had and were a little larger. Fillings were delicious! A great find!
The best food all around (never mind that it's all GF)! Every time we come to town we hit this place. Absolute treat.
I was really excited to find a GF restaurant where I don’t have to worry about cross contamination. We never had Venezuelan food before and was excited to try it. Heaven didn’t disappoint! The dishes are a good size - they might seem small considering the price, but the meals are actually quite filling... I ended up splitting my Arepa into two separate meals. The dishes are flavourful and not bland. My only criticism would be that I would have liked the Venezuelan appetizer to have come with a larger quantity of the sauces; they were really delicious and would have worked well with the Arepa, which I found slightly dry. But other than that I was so happy to try Heaven! We’ll be back again!
Venezuela cuisine! Nice decor with many cool paintings. Venezuela owner is a very lovely lady! I enjoyed Venezuela chicken and avocado “burger” and special apply pie empanada, which you probably can only find it here as the owner told me that it was suggested by a guest to put apple pie fillings inside of empanada!
I'm so happy I stumbled upon this adorable little gem! A cosy, sunny interior and very warm service make you feel like you're getting a home-cooked meal. I decided to get the arepa with black beans, avocado, and plantain ($16), while my friends got arepas with chicken and pulled pork. Slightly expensive for what would typically be street food, but the portions are generous and you can tell all the ingredients are of a very high quality. Mine was absolutely DELICIOUS! The sweetness of the slightly caramelized plantains paired perfectly with the creamy avocado and earthy beans - definitely recommended! I know I'll be back again and again.
Stumbled upon this restaurant while on a walk. (Close to Made by Marcus on 17th Ave SW). Cozy environment with nice music. Owner was very kind and the food (Venezuelan cuisine) was delicious! The yuca fries are amazing! Empanadas were scrumptious and the fish tacos were perfectly done with lots of fish! Would highly recommend this restaurant!!!
The place it's very cosy and the food is great. The waitress was very nice also. Love to comeback to try something else. The empanadas ( Waoooo ) no comments, excellent. If you want to try a taste food you must to visit this place...
My one gf has food sensitivities so when she invited us ladies for dinner I thought it wld be bland and unappetizing..as some specialty restaurants can be at times. Was I wrong!!! I had chicken and Avocado that was amazing. The owner Patricia actually spent time describing each dish and how it's made. I will definitely be going back. Thank you Patricia for personalizing my first experience in your restaurant
Incredible. What a phenomenal spot to get great Venezuelan cuisine! The owner is a delight, and the food is to die for. The arepos are delicious. Heaven indeed!
This is a cozy little eating spot with nice atmosphere, friendly service and great food for reasonable prices. Those looking for gluten free cuisine should enjoy it, as will anybody who loves Latin American cuisine. We come here often for both reasons, and love it. The arepas are the specialty of the house (try the pabellon), but the menu has a number of other good dishes as well. Definitely recommended!
Delicious!!! Great tacos. The whole menu looks amazing.
You have got to try the yuca fries poutine there. Generous cheese and vegetable based gravy with a kick. I like it better than regular potato- crispier and lighter.
Don't need to be a vegan or GF to enjoy awesome food. But would be a great place to bring someone who has allergies as they are so accommodating.
