Amazing Food, friendly staff and great service. We were very pleased and would recommend to every person travelling to Calgary as a must visit restaurant.
Keep up the good work!!
The food was amazing, the people were very nice and we never felt rushed at all even though it was close to closing. Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a “ go to” Thai place
Their food quality, taste and quantity is good. Their green curry is tasty and recommend having it with plain rice. Drunken noodles are good and a bit spicy and come with flavorful and adequately sized shrimp. Their pineapple rice is not an item I would get again but it was decent as flavoring was slightly bland but with a nice pineapple bits that made it nice. Skip the chicken cashew dish. Prices average. Service was good even though it was busy at the time. I would come again
Amazing !! I completely get the hype and the #1 ratings. This place is absolutely fantastic and the food is phenomenal !! We came for a week day lunch, the restaurant was quiet, the staff were very friendly and the food was remarkable. I will be returning as soon as I can !!! The red curry had great flavour and was loaded with thick chunks of veggies : peppers, pumpkin, tofu and basil ! Can't wait to try more. Perhaps next time I will order more just to take home
Khao San is one of my favorite places to get Thai food. It is so busy that you almost always need a reservation! The food is delicious and authentic, the service is amazing, and the restaurant is clean and modern.
Went for a large vegetarian family dinner when relatives were in town. Food, presentation, ambiance and service were all amazing. Will definitely be back.
One of my favourite places for Thai food in calgary. The curries are flavorful and the pineapple rice is a very generous portion. The interior design is also very beautiful and comfortable. The service is great and servers are very nice. It is however a small restaurant so be prepared to wait or get a reservation. The satay skewers are a bit skimpy however for the price you pay.
It's a nice place and location. This time, we ordered the chicken pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, yellow curry with coconut rice, satay chicken and deep fried shrimp. The satay chicken came with 4 skewers and toasted bread (regular bread) to pair with a sweet translucent sauce. The bread is a bit odd but the sauce is good though. The fried shrimp came in a shot glass and the size of the shrimp was fairly big which I think it's worth the money. The coconut rice was a little dry but other than that, everything tasted good. I quite enjoy the pineapple fried rice, it's got a good flavor to it. I would still prefer white elephant if I have to pick a Thai place.
I went here for a celebration dinner and it certainly didn't disappoint, from the delicious food to the lovely decor! The service was very attentive. I could easily see why the Braised Short Ribs in Massaman Curry ($23) is one of their signature dishes, as it was absolutely delicious! The green curry (with chicken) ($16) was also very good; both curries had great depth of flavour and a nice level of heat. I didn't like the Pad Thai ($15) as much as at some other thai restaurants, but it was still very good. For dessert I tried the Sweet Sticky Rice with Thai Custard ($5), which was unbelievably delicious! I am definitely planning on returning to try more of the menu!
This is the best Thai food in the city that I have found so far. Cute space, good service, the food is crazy flavourful. All the sauces have many levels of flavour. My only complaint is perhaps it's a bit expensive. Not huge portions. But definitely go give it a try.
The soup was unbelievable. My tastebuds were alive, awoken by the spicy, tart, salty and sour notes of the soup. I could taste the lime, lemongrass and the deep heat of the chilli. The soup was silky smooth. The tofu was still crispy, tasting like it was briefly deep-fried before being added to the soup.
