We dined at Yellow Door for my birthday this past week and I can not sing my praises loud enough. A warm, stylish environment was the perfect back drop for a dining experience that started with bubbly and came to an end with amazing deserts and specialty coffees. Every little detail was well attended to and our server, Cory, catered his service to our group, giving some spot on cocktail suggestions as well as offering a wonderful wine pairing for my salmon entree (which was as delicious as it was beautiful). The menu had something for everyone in our group and flexibility when it came to some dietary restrictions for some guests. We will indeed be returning for another experience at Yellow Door Bistro!
Anytime I want a great atmosphere, good service and delicious food this is the place that comes to mind. I've never had a bad experience. I recommend the 5 course Chefs choice. Always tasty and the element of surprise and creativity is well worth it.
We visited Yellow Door Bistro for lunch today. We are here from Manitoba and wanted to try somewhere a bit different for lunch. This place has a wonderful ambiance! The interior is very modern and beautiful. The music they play is quite pleasant, and our server Vernon was wonderful! He was so friendly, attentive and fun to have as a server.
They have a good variety of meal options. We tried the twice fried fries, I had the fungi pizza and my husband had their burger. Everything we ate was delicious. They even have a few options on the menu (including my pizza!) that provides a meal to someone else in need when you order it, which I loved. All-in-all, I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit somewhere for a nice meal.
A large group of ladies attended this beautiful “Bistro” for a special event. The service was exceptional. Jean was attentive, cordial and walked us through the appetizers, main courses, wine selection etc. The food was beautifully plated, and incredibly tasty. My group mates were split between the tenderloin and pickerel .. it was all DELICIOUS… Desert was lovely (the crème brûlée was not for me .. but the spiced orange cake — yesss please!!!) The atmosphere was lovely but really, the company was exceptional .. supper with a variety of shared appetizers and dessert and ample wine averaged about $100 per person so it’s not an everyday event - but certainly worth it for a special outing.
Two colleagues going for a dinner out. Johnny served us. What an incredible experience. You simply must have the beef tartare… lovely flavours! Joni was fantastic at suggesting wine pairings with each of our courses, they paired perfectly! The duck confit pirogies or an excellent choice and I must have! We were lucky enough to be there on a night where they served oysters, East Coast all the way! Their dessert feature is also a wonderful choice, an interesting spin on carrot cake. Thank you Johnny for your wonderful service and suggestions and thank you yellow door for being such a hit on our stop while travelling out of town!
