Went to the Workshop tonight for the 5 course tasting menu and the staff didn't disappoint. I sat at the kitchen bar so I was able to watch my meal being prepared. The food was absolutely amazing. The pancetta wrapped prawns went beautifully with the pickled veg and frisée underneath. The asparagus risotto was perfectly cooked and mixing the poached egg in made it sublimely silky. The main was the most perfectly prepared steak I've ever had. The cheese topped apple tart paired nicely with the basil jam and apple-fig compote. The shortcake type dessert, with strawberry rhubarb topping was an excellent finish. As amazing as the food was, it was my conversation with the cooks on the line that truly made the evening. They were humbly receptive to my praise, and listened earnestly to my only negative feedback (the strawberry gel had too much gelatin), promising to pass it on to the chef. We also spoke at length about how to make Brussels sprouts taste great. I can't wait for my next adventure! Happy Halloween!

We decided to try this place out for our anniversary and workshop kitchen and culture did not disappoint! Hands down the best dining experience we have ever had. We got the improv 3 course menu option and each course was full of surprising and delicious tastes. They even gave us a personalized anniversary card signed by all the staff that were working that evening - now that's service! Thanks Workshop!

What a lovely evening! The food was delicious, the flavours were well thought out and planned, the wine pairings were perfect. The atmosphere was unique - a little bit dark/moody yet pleasant. I loved that the quality of food wasn’t accompanied with a pretentious vibe - I felt as comfortable as I would have in a friend’s kitchen. My husband and I came here for an anniversary dinner and was given such thoughtful attention. Our waiter was so helpful and enjoyable to chat with - a big reason we want to come back. We decided to try the 5 course improv meal and absolutely loved every bit of it - what a great option for a menu! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves food and appreciates creativity.

Ambiance is very unique and cool. Service was really good by both the kitchen and our server; excellent suggestion for wine (off the menu) and making sure we had enough of everything for the table. At no point did we ever have to refill our glasses or look around for assistance and yet our conversation was not once interrupted. The food (and specifically the brussel sprouts) was absolutely delicious! We visited as a small group (4) for a birthday celebration and honestly we are still talking about the wonderful experience. From beginning to end, we had a fabulous time! Can’t wait to go back!

What a fantastic adventure in food this was. If you have heard of the workshop then likely you have heard of their "improv" offering. For those that haven't, this is a meal option where the chef chooses what to serve. This comes in 3 and 5 course options along with drink pairing if you like. We decided on the 5 course and we weren't disappointed. We were not in a rush and I will say that this option does take some time (about 2 hours for me and my wife). The service was terrific from our server Bobby. His level of attention was perfect, always there when needed but subtle in his delivery of the meal. I will definitely be going back for another food adventure sometime soon. Can't wait to see what I get next time.

Tried this place out on new years eve and had the 5 course meal. The food was absolutely fantastic, each dish was plated nicely and each bite was very good. The dining environment was unique with a nice ambiance.

Lovely place! The food tasted delicious, the highlight was actually the starter: the schnitzel! It was the best I ever had! They use huge plates, so at the first look you think is not much food for the price, but I left the table feeling full.

We made reservations that might not have been needed early on Friday evening, as there was still plenty of space when we arrived at 6:30. We were seated promptly by friendly wait staff and presented with a menu. It was not large but there were a wide range of tasty looking options. The appetizers were suggested for sharing and the entrees had individual and shared sizes. There is also a 3 or 5 course tasting menu available with drink and wine pairings additionally available. Our appetizer was the Scallops which was served on a bed of Tagliatelle. We each got a good sized scallop that was perfectly cooked. The Tagliatelle was excellent with plenty of sauce. For our main course we shared the grilled salmon which was very tasty and good. But the bacon orzo was outstanding. The whole dish was very pleasing. The cherry tomato compote packs a punch of flavours, with the deep fried onion strings and pea shoots adding a contrast of flavour and texture. It was a very enjoyable meal and I would definitely recommended this restaurant.

I like the food and ambiance. It’s a cool space within the theatre. The food is great, and I would really like to come back to try the tasting menus. It’s apparently what they are known for, and a really good experience. We ordered a bunch of appies and sides to share, and would recommend the following: - Gnocchi - Scallops - Beef Carpaccio - Grilled Romaine

An absolute knockout. The food was unique and to die for. Only only regret is that we didn’t leave fate up to the more than capable chefs by opting for a tasting menu. The drinks were a good match as well - we opted for the super tight pants which is a play on a classic old fashioned. Our waitress Jennifer was a dream as well, helping guide us through the culinary journey with easy.
