• located along North Road where Hannam market is at Korean town
• lots of parking available especially at the second level
• Friendly service, which I really appreciate! Efficient, fast, attentive
• Korean chicken: I love it!!! Perfectly cooked and the sauces are just amazingly yummy! The Lemon soy (I think) was the best!
• Yangnyyeom chicken: it is spicy but its delicious, I can eat the whole thing!!!
• the only negative comment I have is that the actual meal is smaller and way less compared to the photo in the menu which was a but disappointing especially when I’m craving and hungry for chicken

I've been going there for a long time and I've never had a bad experience so as for these people that highly recommend you shouldn't go there are either disgruntled ex employees or don't have a clue what good food is I mean Koreans are fairly picky and there's lots of other Korean restaurants around so if it was terrible it would have closed a long time ago and it's been there for ages don't believe the hype
Love their sweet spicy fried chicken (full-size for 2 with a third leftover for home) and kimchi fried rice (on a separate lunch specials menu you may have to ask for) Cold beer would go well, but since I usually drive I just stick with ice water. They also serve up complimentary appis (shredded cabbage with thousand island dressing I think and also small plate of pickled radish). Fried rice is wetter than most but very generous on kimchi. Been there regularly and food is consistent. Only complaint is different lots have different time limits on parking. Worth driving out from Vancouver.
We (couple) did dinner at Dasarang one evening last week - a first-time visit for us. We had checked out the pictures in the window of the restaurant earlier that day, and thought some Korean-prepared chicken would make a tasty meal. We arrived about 5:15 pm, and took a booth by the windows on the North Road side of the restaurant.
Service was prompt and friendly. And we especially appreciated our server's help in interpreting some of the menu items - the 'what', 'how much' to order, etc.
We shared an order of half & half chicken - soonsai chicken + fried chicken - boneless fried chicken meat seasoned with their own unique recipe of herbs/spices, the soonsai chicken having a zesty, sweet sauce, and the fried chicken, spiced and crispy, without a sauce. The side dishes - a fresh, shredded cabbage salad, with tasty dressing (that looked much like 'thousand island', but more tasty, plus, a marinated 'sweet & sour' tasting, diced veggie (that looked and tasted like daicon).
This was a fun meal for us, and our taste buds were sure treated to some unique flavours. The chicken was spicy, moist, and tender -- the fried chicken, dry and spicy, the sauce on the soonsai chicken, tangy, sweet and quite spicy hot. The side dishes, fresh and cool - some welcomed 'cool' to counter the 'heat' in the mouth!
We enjoyed our dining experience at Dasarang - good food and service, colourful, neat and clean setting - it sure worked for us.
I've been going to Burquitlam SO MUCH lately. It's basically become my second home (...Lougheed was actually my first home, I grew up on Austin Rd!). Anyways, I had a serious hankering for some fried chicken the other day, so I decided to go to one of Ktown's most popular joints for some...KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN! I actually arrived 30 mins early and I had to wait outside for a bit. They were conducting interviews so people kept walking in and out of the restaurant!
Dasarang is pretty empty during the day, but it's probably POPPIN' with soju drinking youngins in the am hours (they open until 2am on the weekend!) Dasarang is located in North Road Plaza so there are parking spaces aplenty!!
Fried chicken here is pretty good. Juicy meat covered in a crispy layer of deep fry. The salty/MSG mix is pretty delicious to coat the chicken with. It is a bit on the pricey side.
I would recommend ordering the original best which is quite popular. The honey glazed fried chicken with green onions on top. Onions clean the toxins from the body so go right ahead lol. Have a ice cold beer with it. Sounds like the great boys night hang out.
Pretty good. My family like the green onion chicken, "Pah Dahk". Dishes are not cheap. Great place to have drink and chat with friends.
Good Place to Try Korean Style Fried Chicken. Been there three times now. The second time I went in, the fried chicken wasn't as crispy and had a slight scent of stale oil but the other times I visited the restaurant, the service was friendly and food was delicious!
Best korean clean chicken shop. I suggest that called "sunsal chicken"
I felt comfortable because looks clean.(I don't know kitchen) really different other chicken shop.
