My wife and I went to Amorosa for the first time yesterday. Very pleased with the service and the meal was exceptional. The chef/owner came out to say hello and we chatted for a few minutes. Very nice man.
We are looking forward to goIng back and trying something new from the menu.

Amorosa has a quaint environment. The decor is not as bright as I would have wanted but it gives off a cosy vibe. There are beautiful images on the wall. I thought it was a full Italian restaurant but it is Italian and Greek combined.
To start my friend and I shared the caprese insalata and the hummus with pita. The hummus was one of the best hummus' I have ever tasted. It was quite dense with chickpeas and had a garlic flare. The caprese insalata would have tasted better if the tomatoes they used were not as ripe. I found the ripeness of the tomatoes made the salad a bit soggy overall.
For a main dish I had the cartoccio with a cream red sauce. It was super tasty. There was a lot of seafood in my dish so I didn't feel cheated. Though I did not receive the spinach tortellini I asked for, it tasted good regardless. Everyone else enjoyed their meal as well.
The only downfall is the service. The amount of time it took for us to get our food was quite slow. I found it hard to get a hold of our server who appeared to be a little scattered at the best of times. Otherwise the price is good and I would definitely return.
I have been dining here for years!!! From the days of just when it was just Amorosa. It has a great neighborhood vibe. The staff are friendly and it's great to see the turn around is not high. It's always nice to see a familiar face. The portion size are very generous. So bring your appetite and good company.
Great pasta and Greek food. Great place to have Italian and Greek food in same place plus great service and friendly people. Must try...our family loves this place.
Great Food, Amazing Service. This evening, my daughter and I went to Amorosa for her birthday dinner. Our server, Amanda, was genuinely very nice, explaining menu items and very attentive. My daughter ordered tortellini with seafood and a delicious white wine sauce and I ordered tomato/meat sauce lasagna. The portions, despite mine being a "small", were huge and very delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Need I say more???
This place is good value, decent pasta. Its not le luminati so don't expect fine dinning. It can be victim of its own success so pick a thursday night. Portions are large for canada. I give it eight out of ten simply because our server was great and value was excellent.

I was originally super put off by what I'd read about this place but saw they had a great deal on, a Groupon that was like $18 for a salad & pasta lunch for two, how can you really go wrong?
I'm so glad I took a chance on this one, the food was AMAZING. So fresh, super delicious, and huuuge portions for a "small" pasta (LOL).
I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about in terms of "tiny portions" because honestly I couldn't even finish my food. I don't eat a lot in one sitting as it is, but still, my boyfriend couldn't finish his either and he's definitely not a dainty eater. I mean he ate it when we got home, but still. haha.
Honestly though, amazing quality of food. We both got the Amorosa Salad (after reading reviews that the Caesar Salad wasn't as good?) which was aaaaaawesome, great tangy/sweet dressing and very fresh vegetables, the pasta was the best part though.
My boyfriend got rotini with a sauce I can't remember the name of, it was a tomato base with italian sausage, shrimp, and chicken- so amazing. I got rotini with a curry sauce, which was also super delicious. I think I may have preferred his but mine really was great too, they were both soooo so good.
On top of that our server was SO SWEET, i didn't get her name but she was working the lunch shift on a Tuesday! So helpful and super attentive, our water and coffee were always filled, and she was really polite.

Great Take Out. We had take out for lunch for a staff party. Food was fresh and warm. They took the time to write the names on all of the containers...was a nice touch! Huge portions, most of us have left overs! Will for sure be eating there again.

This is my 2nd time here and I'm always greeted by a very friendly lady. Thank you for that. The prices are a bit high but the food is worth it. I ordered homous and calamari lunch. The Caesar salad came with the hummus. Nice presentation. I never had to ask for a refill for water. They are very attentive. When I came in there were only a few tables occupied. Maybe the previous reviews were one off situations. Let's hope so. The calamari came and it was prepared to perfection. Lightly battered, and seasoned nicely. Generous portion as advertised. The vegetables and potato was very good. I agree they are a bit chintzy with their tzaziki. They should be more generous with that. Regardless, I would most definitely come back and perhaps try the roast lamb next time. By the way, the bathrooms are clean and tidy. Sometimes that matters to me. Crystal and Kelly are the hosts an servers that assisted me for lunch. I'll come back just for those two because they were that courteous and professional. Thank you ladies.
A lovely place to have a quiet dinner. The sauce on pasta definitely was freshly made, quite delicious. And the pasta was handmade too, cooked to the right texture not mushy at all. Hubby had lamb shoulder and happy at his dish. Karamari was crispy outside and tender inside, and very fresh. The staff was friendly. We were full so didn't try dessert, this will be next time. By the way, I love those paintings on the walls.

Great spot for Italian food with a lot of options and so far all we've tried were really good. Staff was also super friendly.
Pastas we had were really good and highly recommend. We had the spinach-cheese tortellini, lasagna and a custom beef ravioli with the four cheese sauce. I normally would like the lasagna the most but, the tortellini pasta definitely was the best one we had. The spinach-cheese filling on those were really good. I would have preferred baked lasagna but, this was also pretty good. A lot of sauce on this and makes each bite very tasty. For the beef ravioli, could not taste much of the beef but, four cheese flavour sauce was what made this dish.
We also had the chicken souvlaki platter. Only tried thw chicken for this but, it was tender and still juicy. Pita bread was very soft and yummy as well.
Appetizer was calamari. Nice amount of strong onions and great tzatziki sauce. What more to ask for.
The dessert we tried was a filo wrapped cheesecake. This you have to try. Its a different take on cheesecake and absolutely loved it. Served warm with a crunchy filo wrapper and surrounded with cream and some chocolate sauce. The cheesecake was very smooth and creamy and not too sweet at all. This was probably one of my favorite items.
Would love to come back another time and try their other items.

I had a wonderful dinner at Amorosa pasta house in last weekend.
My friend ordered #11 (I think😅). It's a plain white cream sauce without anything. Mine was #19, shrimps and scallops in cream and red sauce around. It's kinda like the rose but it's not. Because you can eat as cream or tomato sauce individually as you want. And if you want rose, you can mixed alittle bit which gives you more options and more fun than just a rose sauce.
Then, you choose different types of pasta. Our waiter said he preferred short pasta in my dish. But I then choosed Alfredo as my friend because we love wide noddles. Both my friend and I were enjoyed our dish alot. There are two different size options in each pasta. My friend ordered a big plate and mine was small.
The ceasar salad was disappointed tho. The lecture was watery and not enough of dressing.
What I like about Amorosa is not only about the pasta, but also the staffs. They were so friendly and talking to you like you are the regular customers. It was just so relax and comfortable like eating in your friend's home even it's my first time visit.
Unfortunately, Amorosa opens for dinner only. Also, there are not many parkings on the street. However, you can turn into the ally next to Super Save gas station and go to their parking in the back of restaurant.

Driven by here for years. Always heard good things. Finally got to experience the pasta! It's a quaint place, very basic tables and decor but don't let that fool you. With the help of our knowledgeable server William, we selected an appetizer and two main entrees as well as a half litre of red wine. We liked the options of picking your choice of noodles and sauce. I had tortellini in smoked salmon and shrimp with a double layer of sauce (tomato on the bottom with a second layer of a white cream sauce). Delicious! Large portion and very hot. Half came home. My better half had a beautiful large portion of chicken parm with a healthy dose of pesto linguini. Very tasty! Thank you William. Busy street with limited parking. Covid protocols in place. I would definitely return. Grazie!
Was looking for food on my way and this restaurant was on my route. I had never been here before but I am so glad I decided to try it out. It was amazing! Our table got the musaka and pesto fettuccine. We got alot of food for the price and both dishes were delicious. I'll definitely be going back there.
Amorosa is my favourite restaurant. Since they first opened, it's been my go-to place for special occasions and just a night out for dinner.
There are some other Italian restaurants in town, but everything at Amorosa is made in-house.
During covid, we often ordered for pickup.
They also have a Greek restaurant - it's called Santorini.
When not everyone in your group wants to eat Italian, there is a choice.
