Buffet lunch... Food was good but cold Must of arrived after it was all over, they were not refilling empty ones. It would of been better to menu order
Service was freindly
I have edited this review from a ‘Meh’ review and now am upgrading the rating from four to five stars. This place used to have a hacked online menu as well, but have improved.
This restaurant has gotten very good and is quite popular. Before I said that the curries are watery; when I went the latest time I had the vegetarian thali with kofta lajwab and dal makhni - and these weren’t watery at all! The dal makhni was warm and delicious and the kofta lajwab was ridiculously savoury. I recommend you check this place out.
Love it!. We have been ordering from this place for years now since new management. Have never been disappointed. Best indian food in town...keep up the good work guys
I have frequented New Passage to India for a few months now, and I have never been disappointed. Top notch service, a user friendly menu and phenomenal food.
My boyfriend and I recommend the veggie korma, garlic naan, mint chutney, aloo tikki and of course the butter chicken.
Also, the front page of the menu offers helpful do's and don'ts which include encouraging guests to eat with their hands and a guide to eating spicy food.
Best Value for the Price. Recently tried out this place and i am ADDICTED! I love their butter chicken, no place in Abbotsford makes it better. I recommend this place to anyone who loves indian food!!
Fantastic Indian Cuisine. The flavours are the most authentic of the restaurants I've tried. Reminds me of the home made food I was served by Indian friends on their farm.
The service is fabulous, so is the ambience. Prices are really good, too.
Excellent buffet. The waiter is really nice - very attentive, makes sure everything is OK.
The buffet is terrific, not tons of choices, but everything for a complete & varied meal. Nice pickle & salad, tasty hot foods. We're always offered fresh hot naan bread. Good desserts and lots of chai tea.
Good seating - easy parking. I'm ready to go again!
New favorite Indian restaurant!. The food was incredible for the price. The servers were all so pleasant and friendly. This was one of the best evenings my girlfriend and I had, and shes not very easy to please. The ambiance is just perfect for an indian restaurant. Dark enough to add ambiance but with enough light to eat. Definatly recommend it for a date or even with family.
Good indian eats in Abby. We went here for the first time the other night. Started out with a couple of beers, papadaums, and veggie pakoras. The papadaums were crispy and yummy but also cold. In my opinion, papadaum should always be hot. The veggie pakoras were good as well but came as a fairly small helping.
For dinner I had the vegetable hot place which was described as "barbequed vegetables". It was definitely hot - it arrived steaming and sizzling. I had a mixture of cauliflower, mushrooms, peas, potatoes, and LOTS of onions. i mean lots - definitely too many. While it was good and I enjoyed it, the vegetables were defnitely not barbequed. Maybe roasted?
The boy had a platter with butter chicken, tandoori chicken (I think?), some salad, one piece of gulab jamun, and something else. He also ordered the chana masala. He said the chicken was tasty but agreed that there were far too many onions. The gulab jamun was nice and sweet but, once again, cold. Shouldn't this always be hot too? The chana masala was the highlight... very good indeed.
The service was great and they aim to please. I would definitely eat here again but I would probably order something different.
