VERY VERY GOOD FOOD! Tasty, great bigger portions compared to other chinese restaurants for their price. Ordered the honey garlic chicken and vermecelli deluxe bowl.. thought it was going to be the typical viet bowl from restaurants but totally wasn't. I was disappointed for few minutes..but after I tried it it was actually really really good for what it was. I loved the lemon grass taste to it. It was a heft dish too. I would definitely order that dish again and others to try!
Great food. Especially the butter chicken. Best butter chicken in the city. Portions are great. And food tastes good too. The only thing I didnt like was the water was lukewarm and had to ask to add ice in the pitcher. Also we got charged for the white rice that apparently comes with the dish as well. But the food was great. Definately something to try out.
AMAZING!. Five Spice is an amazing place. Friendly people who really try to get to know you! The lady always has a smile on her face! For the price the food is amazing, if you ask me it is under priced. Their chicken is actually chicken not lunch meat like so many of those other restaurants put in their food. I am addicted to this place. I have never been disappointed. So if you are looking for REAL meat (not that lunch mock chicken meat) I suggest you save your money by coming to this place. Not the greatest area, but hey it is a hidden gem!
Awesome food at a great price!. Ok, It's not the best chinese food in the world, but its pretty darn good, especially for the price. Pay no attention to some of these reviews, because it really isnt bad at all. The lady there doesnt speak english very well, but is very friendly. Food always comes fast. I recommend the five spice chicken... delicious! You can really taste the seasoned wok in the food, which i love. overall, If you are looking for good chinese food in large portions for a low price, you cant go wrong here.
Worth a try. I've been there twice, with different people, and everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves. The "Dinner for (insert number) persons" offers plenty of food for everyone, with leftovers to take home.
The place is family-run -- if it's a new family, as another reviewer have said, I don't know how it was before. The lady was quite pleasant and attentive, though perhaps slightly abrupt, as if often typical of Chinese waiters.
Looking forward to going again soon.
