Everything you would expect from an out of the way obscure diner. Prompt service, healthy portions and that great greasy spoon flavor... Along with some healthy choices if you are so inclined. Also clean and well maintained and great value for your buck!

Great little diner!. I was taking my nephew for lunch and he LOVES burgers so I was looking for something other than a fast food joint near his school. This place fit the bill. We walked in and immediately I like the kitschy diner feel! We sat at the counter stools to place our order as we had seen a picnic table outside which we were going to take advantage of. Our order was taken promptly and the lovely waitress patiently answered my questions. My nephew ordered a bacon burger and fries and I a Greek salad. For me the vegetarian there were limited options but I wouldn't expect otherwise from a classic style diner. Our food was prepared in a more than reasonable amount of time, we paid (cash or debit only FYI) and went outside to enjoy our food and some sunshine! My nephew loved his burger and the fries were crispy and delicious (of course I had to help him eat them!). My salad was decent if not exceptional. I had the half order which was more than enough; in fact I couldn't finish it (I blame the fries!) and in addition to the generous portion it was served with garlic bread. The waitress was thoughtful enough to poke her head out the door to ask how we were doing. We were more than pleased and my nephew even asked me to take him back again next week as I drove him back to school.

Pleasantly Surprised. Craving a good ol' diner burger? I was. Just went in for a "Fat Boy Special"; it came with soup to start, and crispy fries. The burger itself was messy and satisfying. In particular: I really liked the chili and the large helping of mayonnaise. In addition: service was superb. Very friendly, and fast. I'll be back!

Good prices, decent service. It's fairly average quality food- a mix if pre-made Sysco products and home made Greek diner food. Overall I would say 6.5/10

Classic Diner all the way. The fat boy burger is as you would expect, loaded with sloppy ingredients that create their own chili-flavored salad on your plate by the time you're done. Definitely count on using napkins liberally! I've read about this place on other review sites and disregard anything you've heard about mayo being an issue.. totally a good burger to mayo ratio now!

The poutine I ordered with it was nice and crispy (they read my mind that I love it that way), and was easily managed along with the burger although I felt so full after I was wondering how I would ever make it back to the office without bursting.

The service was friendly, and the banter Angelo and Vickie (who make the A and V!) was hilarious and made it all the more classic.

As far as price goes.... you really can't beat it. $20 even for 2 platters of food that stuffed us to the hilt! I couldn't believe it.

Now of course the whole meal left me feeling a little less than healthy (they don't call it fat boy for nothing) so I'll definitely try one of their salads next time. The cook made one up for himself for lunch and it looked amazing for a salad. "Huge" is the only word I have for it.

I'll be going back. Often.

Great Fat Boys.. This is a straight up breakfast and lunch menu kind of place that serves the Fort Garry industrial area in between Pembina Hwy and Waverly. The only down side to this place is they close at 3pm but where else can I get a Fat Boy at 7:30am after a midnight shift. I'll tell you nowhere.

Fat boy and fries combo, order was ready to pick up in just 10 minutes at noon on a Friday, burger was really good and plenty of fries, price was probably what you would expect after covid, the place is organized.

Food was good. And if you live in the area I would definitely recommend you visit. However if you don't I would not, due to the plethora of similar restaurants throughout the city.

The lovely lady inside was not lying when she said they have the best chili in town. I love my chili cheese fries and theirs by far beat any other place I've been to. The chili is a meat chili without chunks of tomato's and onions and who knows what else, it's full of flavor and you don't have a bunch of grease leftover at the end like other places I've been to. I will definitely be back to try out even more of the menu!

Boy, A&V is a great surprise! 😋😋😋 Besides the delicious food, it's a nice place, and has amazing customer service. Their french fries are so tasty 😋🍟. We'll go back for sure!
