Great, quick service and plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Definitely a hidden gem off the beaten path.

Fat boy and fries combo, order was ready to pick up in just 10 minutes at noon on a Friday, burger was really good and plenty of fries, price was probably what you would expect after covid, the place is organized.

Food was good. And if you live in the area I would definitely recommend you visit. However if you don't I would not, due to the plethora of similar restaurants throughout the city.

We had the special. 2 cheese burgers fries for 16.95. Big portions, good pricing, great flavor

The lovely lady inside was not lying when she said they have the best chili in town. I love my chili cheese fries and theirs by far beat any other place I've been to. The chili is a meat chili without chunks of tomato's and onions and who knows what else, it's full of flavor and you don't have a bunch of grease leftover at the end like other places I've been to. I will definitely be back to try out even more of the menu!

Boy, A&V is a great surprise! 😋😋😋 Besides the delicious food, it's a nice place, and has amazing customer service. Their french fries are so tasty 😋🍟. We'll go back for sure!

I’ve never eaten in but I often order out and the food is delicious!!! Portions are good and the food tastes fresh. My fave is their greek salad and chicken. Yum

Having driven past this restaurant numerous times i was always curious about the food but could never find anyone that had actually eaten at the establishment. Well my hunger got the better part of me today as i was driving past and notice a sign advertising 2 cheeseburgers, 2 canned drinks and 1 order of french fries for $14.95. Well it wasnt the cheapest i have seen but again i was hungry. There was plenty of parking available despite it being lunch time...hmmmm. Walking in the place was clean and offered a great view of the grill area. I placed my order for the advertised special and waited. The menu shows plenty of Greek specials which had me excited as i have never been let down by a greek burger joint. My order was ready in under 10 minutes and instead of eating in i chose to bring it to my work a short 2 minute drive away. Setting down into the french fries i found the taste great as well as the texture. A little on the small side portion wise for this special but with the taste being there i was willing to let that go and excited to dive into my cheeseburger. Well burger fans that enthusiasm was short lived. Possibly one of the worst burgers i have had in a long long time. The bun was the star of the burger since it tasted ok and held up well to the chili on the burger. The burger patty however is clearly preformed frozen patties from who knows where. Either the chili or rje patty had a taste that made it inpossible to finish. Thinking it was just the first burger i tried the second one. Nope. Same odd taste and even worse after taste. And lets talk about the cheese...well judge for yourself if you call that cheese. A picture is worth a thousand words. Bottom line is i ate the fries...suffered through half of each burger..but thankfully had 2 cans of pop to wash away the aweful taste left in my mouth. Burgers from Dal's, White Top or Superboys have no competition here. If you're hungry for a burger you would be better off going anywhere but here.

I stopped in here the others week and it reminded me of the Old Fatboys I visited as a child. The food was good not great, the fries were not good at all, I was expecting hand cut fries. With a few minor changes this little gem could be outstanding.<br/>The staff and person on the grill were very friendly.

Everything you would expect from an out of the way obscure diner. Prompt service, healthy portions and that great greasy spoon flavor... Along with some healthy choices if you are so inclined. Also clean and well maintained and great value for your buck!

Great little diner!. I was taking my nephew for lunch and he LOVES burgers so I was looking for something other than a fast food joint near his school. This place fit the bill. We walked in and immediately I like the kitschy diner feel! We sat at the counter stools to place our order as we had seen a picnic table outside which we were going to take advantage of. Our order was taken promptly and the lovely waitress patiently answered my questions. My nephew ordered a bacon burger and fries and I a Greek salad. For me the vegetarian there were limited options but I wouldn't expect otherwise from a classic style diner. Our food was prepared in a more than reasonable amount of time, we paid (cash or debit only FYI) and went outside to enjoy our food and some sunshine! My nephew loved his burger and the fries were crispy and delicious (of course I had to help him eat them!). My salad was decent if not exceptional. I had the half order which was more than enough; in fact I couldn't finish it (I blame the fries!) and in addition to the generous portion it was served with garlic bread. The waitress was thoughtful enough to poke her head out the door to ask how we were doing. We were more than pleased and my nephew even asked me to take him back again next week as I drove him back to school.

Pleasantly Surprised. Craving a good ol' diner burger? I was. Just went in for a "Fat Boy Special"; it came with soup to start, and crispy fries. The burger itself was messy and satisfying. In particular: I really liked the chili and the large helping of mayonnaise. In addition: service was superb. Very friendly, and fast. I'll be back!

Favourite place to breakfast!. A clean greasy spoon diner. My favourite go to place for breakfast. Nothing fancy, just good food and good conversation. Always great service, never a hassle to swap out the potatoes and toast for grilled tomatoes and onions...yum to accommodate my crazy but necessary low carb lifestyle.

Awesome Gyro Fat Burger. Been here with co-worker if we craved for greasy burger.<br/><br/>Tried their Gyro Far burger (rolled in Pita wrap instead of bun) and it was awesome! Perfect to served my craving! They haven't put on their menu card and never regret that I tried it. <br/><br/>For every bite, it is a meaty/chilly delicisous!

Great food. Stopped in for breakfast one morning while my car was being serviced up the road, and had a great breakfast. Came back for lunch the next day, also good.<br/>Overall; good food, good value, and nice people working there.

Good prices, decent service. It's fairly average quality food- a mix if pre-made Sysco products and home made Greek diner food. Overall I would say 6.5/10

Classic Diner all the way. The fat boy burger is as you would expect, loaded with sloppy ingredients that create their own chili-flavored salad on your plate by the time you're done. Definitely count on using napkins liberally! I've read about this place on other review sites and disregard anything you've heard about mayo being an issue.. totally a good burger to mayo ratio now! <br/><br/>The poutine I ordered with it was nice and crispy (they read my mind that I love it that way), and was easily managed along with the burger although I felt so full after I was wondering how I would ever make it back to the office without bursting.<br/><br/>The service was friendly, and the banter Angelo and Vickie (who make the A and V!) was hilarious and made it all the more classic.<br/><br/>As far as price goes.... you really can't beat it. $20 even for 2 platters of food that stuffed us to the hilt! I couldn't believe it.<br/><br/>Now of course the whole meal left me feeling a little less than healthy (they don't call it fat boy for nothing) so I'll definitely try one of their salads next time. The cook made one up for himself for lunch and it looked amazing for a salad. "Huge" is the only word I have for it.<br/><br/>I'll be going back. Often.

Love the breakfast. This place is really traditional and I love it for that. The breakfast special is awesome and very inexpensive.

Great Fat Boys.. This is a straight up breakfast and lunch menu kind of place that serves the Fort Garry industrial area in between Pembina Hwy and Waverly. The only down side to this place is they close at 3pm but where else can I get a Fat Boy at 7:30am after a midnight shift. I'll tell you nowhere.

I really enjoyed my burger. The chili was very good - there was lots of it on my bacon double cheeseburger and it tasted like meaty chili - not some tangy sauce. The hand formed burger patties were thin, firm (but not hard), not juicy - but not dry either and very tasty. The patty had a good grill sear taste and crunchy on the outside. The bacon was very tasty and easy enough to bite through without being cooked hard. As Brett put it “I was not wowed, but neither do I have any complaints. A fine utility burger.”

I came to know of A and V Drive In at1200 Chevier Blvd.years ago when our office was looking at relocating in the area (they’ve been open since 2004).  In my mind, a suitable lunch spot with great food is the number one priority when office scouting.  We found the name a bit of a misnomer as there actually no cars driving in and taking out.  On the other hand, there were a number of customers inside, apparently from the businesses and factories in the area.  Although the restaurant is equipped with plenty of tables, they were all occupied upon our arrival, with the exception of one.  This speaks to A and V’s popular reputation in the area, in my opinion. On previous visits, I had sampled their Burgers which were outstanding, but on this occasion I was in the mood for something a bit lighter.  There are a number of salads to choose from as well as Omelets, Burgers, Dogs, Sandwiches and Platters.  A Breakfast Special is served weekdays from 6-11 am.
