Great coffee, great location, and, miraculously, the only street-level windows downtown with a view. An excellent place to chill or get some work done.
I have experienced a delicious cappuccino at Joe and Lily and it tasted like smiles!
Adorable little coffee shop inside the Sport For Life building. They are all about locally sourced goodies - beans from Other Brother Roasters in Winkler, baked goods from Tall Grass Prairie and snacks from Beet Happening. They also have a few breakfast sandwiches made to order. It's a quiet little nook in the ever evolving Exchange District that I'm happy to have stumbled across. Service was friendly and accommodating.
Definitely stop by for a cup if you're in the area!
Only had a cappuccino but it was just the way I like it - beautiful texture and just the right temperature. Friendly staff and nice relaxing atmosphere. Will be back!
Joe and Lily shares a link with Folio Cafe , in that they are carrying a good deal of their food from an outside source. In the case of Joe and Lily, it’s Tall Grass Prairie that is their supplier. This discovery made me very happy as Tall Grass is one of my favourite places. The first time I went in I had the ham and cheese croissant along withe my beverage. The second time I went with what I believe is called the fig and pig sandwich. The croissant was very enjoyable. The fig and pig(ham) was the kind of sandwich that has go-to written all over it. The fig dressing was just the right amount of sweet, and it kept the sandwich good and moist. The shop is located on the main floor on the Sport for Life Centre building at 145 Pacific Avenue, just off Lily (hence the second part of the name). It’s shape and size is similar to many of the new coffee shops such as Parlour and Thom Bargen.
AMAZING little gem of a coffee shop in the exchange. Highly recommend. They've got some breakfast sandwiches that are to die for and other typical treats you'd expect from a coffee shop. Relaxed atmosphere and the staff are really friendly/helpful. Love this place!!
Highly recommended. It's an often overlooked location, but their coffee is as good or better than the other places close by like Parlour or Forth. Decent food for a quick bite. It's a far less pretentious place too, which is a lot more appealing.
Small place with limited seat. Very friendly staff. Limited selection but good coffee. Not sure of the exact hours but I have never seen it open past 5 PM. Get the feeling that it's for the people working in this building and some of the surrounding buildings.
Discovered this coffee shop while on assignment in Winnipeg. It's a great local place that is super clean, fantastic coffee and a welcoming owner. The baked goods are wonderful as is the atmosphere. Will be back!
The owner was very social and nice and makes a mean cortado. The spot is small and comfy. The owner treats his customers like friends and it is appreciated. Give this place a chance when in Winnipeg and support local businesses.
Joe and Lily is a sweet little spot to get coffee + code. Closes early some days though so make sure you get there on time.
Also, excellent muffins.
First time visitor. Small, quaint, and friendly. They serve Tall Grass goods. Ordered an almond milk latte which was excellent and hot (without having to ask). A regular latte was $3.75.
The owner is very genuine.. great conversations.. he was the start of positivity every day I went to the gym.. can't get a better cup of coffee here. Thanks a lot!
Great coffee, great space, and friendly staff. Can't ask for more.
GREAT Turkey and cheese Sandwiches! Not to mention their Chocolate Croissants!! A++++++
