Boogies is a neighbourhood favourite of mine for sure. From the salads, to the hot turkey sandwiches, to the giant appetizer platters I have never had a meal I haven’t enjoyed. It’s a great place to grab a drink in the North End area with a casual, sports bar feel.
I stopped in here for the first time last Friday was a little nervous about the area but I was happily surprised, They have a great specials the steak sandwich was delicious and the service was great, friendly bartender and a delicious meal at a low price what more can you ask for, I'll definately be back!!
I met some friends for lunch here recently and I have to admit I was disappointed that someone chose this place, but I went with an open mind. The inside of the restaurant was nicer than I expected, the menu was much better than I expected, and the food was great! Some of the customers in the place were a bit rough looking but everyone was minding their own business. The service was good and the value for your money was definitely there, I would go back!
Drive past this place every day and lived around it for years but never actually went there. I ordered today via skip and was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good, the portions were much bigger than that I am used to getting from other places and the prices were easy to swallow.
Would definitely order from this place again, and maybe one day I will actually stop by and see what it's like inside.
Appitizer platter is a nice way to try a bunch of different things, I got #1. I didn't really care for the onion rings but everything else was really good, particularly the mushrooms. They also have a ton of wing flavors.
The coleslaw also wasn't my favorite, it was a little bitter. The sauce/dressing was good though... Maybe try this again and get better results.
I got a few wraps and they were filling and delicious.
Food is always good although they always seem to screw up the orders each time , it's cheap and good. Service is good too. Coffee is always topped up.
Easy way for management to fix the biggest problem.... I have been going here for a long time, i have also read all of the reviews, the consensus is pretty clear. Food is good, prices are good, waitress service is good. So what is wrong? clearly the bitchy, rude, scowling bartender/server K... Get rid of her, no idea why she is working there, acts like she hates being there and treats everyone like crap. Nobody needs to go and spend money at a sports lounge for that $hit.
Great food at low price. If you want an excellent meal for under $10, go here - recommend burger and Caesar salad
I've only eaten here for lunch but I go about once a month or so. The food has always been good & the beers always cold. They have different specials all the time & the prices are pretty decent. I've never had a experience with rude bartenders or staff & burgers & Montreal Poutine are delicious.
Great food at North End Dive. This place is a dive (IE: You go to drink cheap beers and eat cheap food with large portions) If you're going to eat at Redwood and Main, I don't know what else you expect. The prices and portions are fantastic and the service is not always bad. I can understand some frustration by the servers regarding patronage (how would you feel serving shady clientele all day?) but real complaints like below should be addressed to the manager no? You're not going to Redwood and Main to be wowed by customer service.
Best Place in North End. I've been going to Boogies for over 10 years. You can't beat their prices, and their food is surprisingly amazing.
The service is great, the Pizza is top Notch, and their specials can't be matched anywhere in the city. Half Price Pizza on Mondays, Wings on Saturdays, Steak Sandwiches on Fridays the list goes on.
You can spend an entire evening drinking, and eating and leave with a 40-50 dollar bill. It is unbelievable! Highly recommend it.
