We love Browns. It's our favourite place to go and we always have great service and great food. We sit at the bar quite a bit and the staff is attentive and personable. When we do sit at a table, we're always served in a timely manner and never feel forgotten. It's a really good mix of people too so we don't feel like we're too old to be there. If you haven't been, you should go. 👍🏼

I love the food!! Small place I'm assuming it gets loud but the foods great!! I love their pizzas and chicken sandwiches are huge! It's more of a sports bar but they do have dinner menu. Drinks are priced pretty well too!
Although I wasn't blown away, this restaurant is not bad at all. It is your typical neighbourhood restaurant and bar with a usual menu. However the nachos were quite unique and the service was great. We stayed for 4 hours and never felt rushed or pressured to leave.

Update-they have changed the tartar sauce. I am very disappointed.
My sister had the tuna bowl on a recent visit, she said it was good but for 4 small pieces of tuna salad and rice it was not worth 18$. My salt and pepper wings were good, small but good. Very light on the salt an pepper, they also came tossed in a little amount of dry rosemary which I liked. It reminded me of roast chicken but in wing form. Yum.
Been here twice now. First time I had the burger, even though it was good the patty was on the thinner side. I can definitely do a better burger at home. Fries were also on the small portion side. Second time I came I had the halibut and fries. Hands down the best fish I have ever had. How do they make the tartar sauce? Because OMG it was amazing, it was so good I dipped my fries in the sauce and had to ask for more. But again the fries portion was small. Gravy was awful, tasted so weird. Very yummy coleslaw, I love their take on it by adding cilantro and sunflower seeds. If you do order the fish and chips, I would recommend asking they don't throw your food on the paper. Sure it looks cute but the paper gets damp from the food and tears. I ended up eating paper with my fish and coleslaw. Not tasty. Service was great. I will come back again and again for that amazing fish-without the paper of course.
Amazing service and food. First time I went, I ordered the won-ton soup which I didn't really like, I never even told my server, she asked me and when I said I didn't really like it she took it off my bill instantly. The atmosphere is really nice if you're look for something similar to a Joey's Lounge or Original Joe's but the food and drinks are much better.

The atmosphere was nice, we sat on the furthest wall at a booth where there is a very nice stone feature wall. The seats had not been cleaned properly so it was wet when we went to sit down. The waitress was very accommodating. I had one of their Healthy Social Bowls called the "Tahitian Tuna" that came with Almond rice, I subbed out the Almond rice for regular rice and it was pretty tasty and I found the Tuna tasted fresh, but I am not sure if it was or not. It also came with the Cowgirl salad, it is found on the menu quite often, which I don't understand, it wasn't great, the ratios of ingredients was really off putting. I was not impressed with what my boyfriend had ordered, It was off a menu insert, steak with some pasta on the side, for what he got portion and quality wise if certainly wasn't worth the price, he didn't seem impressed by it either. He had also ordered a Caesar, it was so spicy he couldn't finish it. I probably won't go back unless there's a gathering and someone else picks this as the location.
While I would not write an epic saga about how this place introduced me to new, existential levels of culinary discovery, it has been consistently good on every visit. The service is polite and attentive, and we've yet to find anything on the menu that we don't like.
A restaurant can do far worse than being good and consistent. Would recommend if you are looking for a pleasant, if not life changing meal.
Tried it out for the first time months after it opened and glad to say it was great. Came for appetizers and drinks, and the nachos are as good as any restaurants I've ever had.
A friend suggested this place. We drove all the way from Fort Garry just to give it a try last Friday night. The place was busy and we were wanting to seat at the patio but the wait was about 30 minutes or more according to the reception. So we decided to sit at the bar. We ordered for local beer from BC and dry ribs to start with. After which, we ordered our main. I ordered for the Hollywood Cheeseburger with fries and my friend ordered the Crispy Chicken sandwich with Caesar's salad. The food was great and we enjoyed it both. The only complaint was the music- too loud we can't barely hear each other. I've heard they will be opening soon south of Winnipeg.We'll be back to sit at the patio and try other menus.
Great addition to the neighbourhood. Food, drinks and service are all fantastic. The pizza is amazing and on special Sunday and Monday. They were very accommodating of my husband who is gluten free. They found out we were celebrating and even covered our drinks! Only down side is the small patio.
This is a great location for another Browns as there is not much around here. The place was busy as always and we couldn't get a seat on the patio but it was still a great dining experience. The service was outstanding and the food excellent. The menu is interesting with a great variety and everything was tasty. Lots of interesting drink options as well. Great place!
The food was fabulous. Well worth the little bit of wait to be seated. We enjoyed the atmosphere with soft lighting and not too loud. The happy hour is well worth it. We will be back.
Very welcoming staff, good music, relaxing lighting, very extensive menu. Food came quick, and it was excellent. I got the fried chicken and pickles, which was a great choice for a lighter meal as I wasn't too hungry. On top of that, I ordered an Old Fashioned. Browns' take on that drink is great, I've never had one served with rye and a grapefruit slice anywhere else. It's a much appreciated alternative version to the usual bourbon and orange peel. I will definitely be coming here more often as it's not a far drive, and Browns is just a great chain all around.
Great tasting meal. Both my partner and I really enjoyed our meals. I ordered the schezuan noodle bowl and my partner ordered a half size chicken caeser. She said it was one of the best caeser's she's had in a long time. The chicken was really good she said. I loved my dish and would order it again. Little pricey for what you're eating but the service and atmosphere made up for it in my opinion.
The food was good, but it could have been hotter. We had a fairly large group, so I can understand that issue... The prices did seem a bit high for what you get though. Gravy wasn't worth as I barely got any and it was clumpy. Everything else tasted good.
The food is always good. Atmosphere is friendly. I was a little perplexed by the multitude of server's and how many times and different people asked me how things were tasted. But that's a me thing. I don't like to be interrupted every 5 minutes but others might like that kind of service.
Just finished a 18 hour work day drove all the way down regent and Henderson hwy looking for a restaurant that would have a great drink and a snack. THANK YOU Brown social house. Those old fashion drinks were the best I've ever had, and the pork dumpings yum yum. After a brutal long stressful day at work you put a smile on my face. Everything from the food to the drinks and the great service from the waitress. Spot on.
