Good little St. James Thai place. Service is quick and food is always hot. Anything with the sweet creamy peanut sauce is amazing as are the curry dishes, especially the Matsoman (29a) which has cashews, pineapple and potato. There is a salmon red curry dish (17b) which is a sweet n sour flavour sensation. The signature pad Thai is delicious, our favourite is with the vermicelli instead of egg noodles. There are also a lot of vegetarian options and if you don't mind fish in the sauce, most items can be substituted with tofu, which is fried nice and crispy. The ambiance is quaint with authentic decorations and to top it off, the sounds of martial arts classes going on upstairs. Some may think it's loud, we think it adds the the charm of the whole experience.
We came here as a shot in the dark, we need to choose a place quick sort of decision and boy were we surprised.
The first look at the menu had us all excited as there were numerous items that sounded amazing. We ended up getting an order of Yor Tod, Yor Khao as well as Som Tam Thai for appetizers and they were delicious. When it came time for the main course I chose the Shrimp Matsaman and I could not have been happier. The dish was amazing on top of the delicious coconut rice. My only dissapointment is that it was so good that everyone at the table had to have their own taste and there was even less for me to enjoy.
The atmosphere was nice. Decorations were what you expect walking into a place like that and everyone there seemed to be having a good time.
The service was amazing. Our waitress was extremely friendly and very helpful with the menu and with giving recommendations on the individual dishes. Another overlooked fact was that the food delivery was smooth and fast.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be going back again.
One of my favourite Thai places. SO GOOD. The staff are super friendly as well. Great atmosphere. Worth the trip from the East to the West End!
