ADORE THIS PLACE. Same fam running it as when it was the Downs Dairy Delight on Portage & Isbister in the 80s. Best fries in town, gravy is PHENOMENALLY beefy, burgers are super flavourful and don’t taste machine-y, chicken fingers are the GOOD ones with real actual meat, onion rings are ridiculous (in a good way). Huge portions, fantastic variety of hard AND soft ice cream, as well as a full selection of sundaes, shakes (two words: ROOT BEER. Enough said), better-than-blizzards, parfaits, splits, etc. this place is a gem. Keep up the amazing work, you guys!
The food is great and always fresh ! Can’t go wrong with the French Fries as they’re consistently delicious and you get more than your value for the price. Burgers are huge and tasty ! Just love this place !!!
It is always exciting when this place opens for the season (usually an indicator that summer is on it's way). They have a great selection of both frozen treats and diner classics (burgers, fries, pitas). Love the poutine!
Oh. my. goodness. best burgers in the city. their poutine is Okay, regular fries are better. their chicken pita is pretty good and ice cream is pretty good too. we will definitely be back

This is where I go when I want a Fat-boy and fries with chili on the side. Actually, I will often just get fries with a side of chili because the portions are huge. Check before going in the winter because they do close for a period.
Fantastic "Greeks" style burgers and fries. The poutine was enormous and so delicious! Cheeseburger was awesome. Shakes were amazing. Definitely left full and totally satisfied.
This is some of the best soft serve in the city. Try the poutine! Sooo good! The milkshakes are also incredibly awesome. My favorite is root beer. The service is excellent and I'm always surprised at how busy it gets I still get my food relatively quickly. The only downside is it does get pricey if you're ordering for your whole family and it is most definitely not "calorie wise" haha! It's a great treat though. :-)
I've eaten here twice, the first time ordering the Fat Boy and fries. The Fat Boy is one of the best in the city and the fries were very good as well. Portions are quite large and should satisfy the hungriest of people. The 2nd time I tried their DB Burger and a blueberry shake which were both great. The attached pics are of their DB Burger.
The family who owns the business, they always be so friendly and easy to communicate with. My friend and I went there so many times, we became their regular customers. They always make sure that our orders are correct and likes to give us the extras. They are aware that we are Deaf.
Always loved to go there and greet them. I highly recommend that you should try the meals, its soooooo good and felt like eating at home!🥰

Sometimes the burgers are to salty, but other than that the food is always very good, fresh, and hot. Eat there or to go. Very busy place.
Only disappointment is charging for debit use. If they didn't it would be 5 stars.

The fries are home cut and crispy and extra yummy. Top it up with some fantastic icecream. The staff is so nice. Feels like family.
This place is an absolute gem! I do want to state right off the bat no Credit Cards, and Debit cards are charged $0.35 fee. Besides that this place is great. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food takes the perfect amount of time. Enough to sit and start chatting, but not too much that you start looking around. I got a Fat Boy, Fries, and Ice Cream. All. Were. Delicious! Fat Boy had great chili with nice spices, kinda like Old El Paso Tex Mex, pristine lettuce, pickles, cheese, mayo, tomato, onion. Will for sure be back for the Burger. The fries were good, not delicious, I lied earlier. The ice cream was delicious though, and a very large portion, very impressed. Overall I ate too much but am extremely satisfied. Will be back next time I'm in town!
Ordered a Greek salad for home. They have one of the best in our area. And their burgers are delicious too.
