I can't speak to the sushi but the two Thai dishes I have had at Asia Express have been delicious. The Beef Pad Sew ($8) was pretty tasty and the Shrimp & Noodle in Tom Yum Soup ($10) was excellent. Definitely worth a try!
Great Food & Great Value. My wife & I were getting our passports renewed in the same Mall & were ready for lunch - saw Asia Express & gave it a try. Service was excellent, food was fresh & tasty. Will definitely return. BTW, review that said the crab sashimi they had for lunch was terrible is suspect, as sashimi is not available for lunch, only dinner!
Go for the sushi. The sushi is basic and fresh, reasonably priced with generous portions. The service is quick, helpful and friendly. Our family have visited the restaurant many times as well as ordered sushi platters for home delivery and we have never been disappointed.
I have been reading some of the reviews on here and find it interesting when someone says...''blah blah...etc., the food is no good, go to this other restaurant (insert restaurant name here)''. I wonder if some of the employees from the competitors write these unfair reviews as I have also been to some of the quoted restaurants and they are not as good as the sushi we eat at Asia Express. We keep coming back to Asia Express again and again.
As I said in the title go for the sushi.

Fast, Great Taste, Good price. Great little fast food Asian joint. We tried many Asian restaurant's since moving to Ontario - could not find one we actually liked; many were 'tolerable', but no better than that. This one is fabulous. Not pretentious at all, but it's clean, neat and very good service. Above all, the food has been absolutely delicious, the best Asian cuisine we have had since moving here. Very much love this place and their food. It's not a place for your 'dress up' dinner, but if you just want delicious food, with great selection and remarkably good prices, this is your place. Wonderful, I'm glad they opened up this place.
Asia express is a Fast casual dinning restaurant in Whitby, that offers take-out & delivery.
They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from including Chinese, Japanese, & Thai. We ordered the dinner for two for $17.95 + 2 sushi rolls, for a total of $28. They are very accommodating, I'm vegetarian and they let me order fried rice without egg. The service was good, the food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. Prices are very reasonable, and a good value for what you get. Give it a shot!
The sushi is flavourful and fresh. The tempura is light and crispy. The teriyaki dishes are tangy and tender. Calamari and Sweet & Sour Fish are awesome. You need to eat here. I'm not a huge fan of fusion, but they actually do all three very well. Going to a fusion restaurant where you can safely and happily order anything off the menu is refreshing!
