really standard bar food. We ordered two burgers and they are both pretty ok.. not as bad as the reviews (from long time ago) the food tasted bit salty after a while. But the beef patties are pretty juicy. Overall, not too bad. They have a little nice patio as well.
By Whistler standards, La Brasserie Des Artistes is a relatively cheap place to get food & drink. It is very casual; you sit where ever you see that is clean and vacant. When you sit on the open patio, there is hardly any barrier between you and the tourists strolling in the village. We only saw one active server during dinner time, but the service was not as slow as expected. Yay (?)

For food, we ordered Mussels & Frites, and the Harmony Burger ($20.95 and $14.95 respectively).
There really isn't much to say about the Mussels & Frites. The sauce changes daily, and we had a cream-based onion sauce. It was so-so all around.
On the other hand, the Harmony Burger was perhaps one of the best burgers I've had in recent memory! It had a juicy beef patty, fresh vegetables, pickles, and lamb bacon. The most special component of the Harmony Burger was the sauce - mint chutney; a.k.a. lamb's best friend. Harmony indeed!
This place was awesome. Everyone that's saying they didn't like it is nuts. My husband and I had pancakes, the clean meal breakfast of fruit, yogurt, and granola, and "The Usual" which is eggs, potatoes, bacon, toast. It was so delicious. The pancakes and potatoes were probably the best part.
Not bad. I had 'the usual' breakfast, typical hashbrowns, over easy eggs, and some jumbo sausages. It was decent enough and the price didn't break the bank. Too bad the toast was cold!
Very good. We had "the usual" and the spaghetti with meat sauce. "The usual" came with toast and we substituted it with pancake and it was great. The spaghetti's sauce was full of flavourful meat and was really chunky. The service was good for a place so busy. Overall it was very good.
We had breakfast and watched the first period of the Canada v. USA Olympic men's hockey game. Our waitress was great, but I could see how the others could be considered rude. Food was good, especially the pancakes with bacon. Omelette was a bit dry. Other eggs were cooked to order. Price was what I expected to pay for any restaurant on Village Lane. I'd go back.
Our burgers and drinks were pretty darn good! Had I read these reviews I wouldn't have gone there but we had a good feed. Pretty simple and straightforward stuff but we were happy!
We went here like 6 times when we were in Whistler. However thus one waitress is well a total bitch to put it politely. I talked to the manager because she was such a cow. Tried to over change me for things left right and center, then was rude when I pointed it out. Food is great. Other servers and managers are great. So if you get a really rude server tell the manager, it's probably the same one and quite frankly she doesn't deserve to keep her job.
Surprised at the reviews. We sat outside on a lovely day. My kids shared the kids chicken fingers & my husband & I had a couple of apps & pints. The waitress was kind, helpful & efficient. The chef brought us our food himself and picked up the tab. Lucky day for us I guess. Even if we didn't get a free meal I would have been happy with the experience and I would suggest it to others.
