Best Indian grocery store in Victoria. Recently started visiting this place and now I am a regular. Visit for Indian spices, pickles, masalas, rice varieties and Indian snacks.
The new owners make samosas. If you can get some, do it. They’re very very good. A little spicy and extra flavorful.
Super friendly store. They make a yummy butter chicken with Naan bread. You need to ask for the naan, reasonably priced. They have all sorts of unique jams and other items. I always feel welcome here, they like a local mom and pop store.
We used to frequent this neighborhood store often, and were sad to hear that the previous owner had suddenly passed away. But we are so happy that a lovely Indian family has taken over ownership and reopened Yumbrosia. They are warm and friendly, and carrying on the legacy of their predecessor. Visit the store for a variety of South Indian delights, and be sure to ask about their menu of homemade foods.
The new owners have brought variety of Mediterranean and European cheese, meat and stuffed olives on table. They are quite friendly and welcoming too. Make sure to taste their home made butter chicken and Chana masala next time you visit the deli.
The owners are wonderful people who deserve all the best. The prices are good and they have unique European items, a deli, sandwiches, every type of pasta noodle, soup, the best hummus you will ever have. They have a lot of ingredients (especially sauces) that don't have so much preservatives and odd ingredients in them. They have local eggs and local chicken. If you are too lazy to cook they sell frozen homemade soup for around $4. I keep some in my freezer and some in my fridge. It's cheaper than doing meal delivery. Overall cute spot, good food, good people, worth checking out and supporting a local shop.

This is my little paradise in Oak Bay! Even though small, this little grocery store has an amazing selection and variety of food for the discerning palate. From pasta to spices, canned goods to fresh vegetables and great cheese and organic cold cuts, you will find almost everything you are looking for, Italian ice cream included. The wonderful and friendly owners will pamper you with amazing customer service! You can enjoy freshly made sandwiches, even Turkish coffee and they will always treat you with some handmade goodies like jam, ice cream, banana bread etc! Cannot miss that!
Amazing selection of products from all over the world! Super place to find those hard to get items that no other store carries. They do their very best to carry local produce as well. Wonderful customer skills to round off your visit. Don't delay your visit!

This has definitely become my favourite weekly stop, a very fine selection of quality items at fair prices. Many of the hard to find cooking ingredients are all there and if they are not the owners make the extra effort to bring them in. Great people
