Stir It Up's curry lamb roti was the best damn thing that's ever happened to me. That's right. Better than birth, better than love, better than orgasms. Eat one, leave a tip and try the hot sauce! Enjoy :)
This place just feels so welcoming as you walk in. It reminds me of the food culture of the United states and feels like it could have been here forever. The food is absolutely delicious. Best jerk chicken I've had. Can't wait to go back and check out their other items.
Authentic Caribbean and delicious. Since the jerk house closed Victoria was in need of real Caribbean food and this place is it!

Having been to Jamaica I can definitely say this is quite authentic. The jerk chicken is so delicious. But really, everything is great here!
Awesome lunch! The roti was so fresh and soft, and the curry veg filling was flavourful. The combo of chickpeas, spinach, and potato gave it great texture. I also had a veg pattie, which was fresh and handmade! The filling was yummy with sweet corn and carrot and the pastry was so flaky. Great value too!
Amazing.. I LOVE this place. Food is great, well spiced, and fresh. Get the roti. Pretty fast most of the time too. Cash only though! Which doesn't bother me, but be aware as Fernwood's ATM is consistently down. LARGE portions for 10 bucks, tax included. They've recently added new menu items too which I haven't tried yet, but sure am excited to. a jem of a restaurant in Victoria.

Yu-u-mmy!. This is, without a doubt, the BEST Caribbean restaurant in Victoria. When I first moved to Victoria from Toronto, I was in serious need of some GOOD Caribbean cooking, being that I am Caribbean (Jamaican heritage, to be precise). I searched high and low and was lucky enough to discover that I lived, literally, around the corner from Stir It Up in Fernwood Square. Let's just say I managed to put on a few extra pounds by constantly eating there...yu-u-mmy, lol. It was tough to live nearby and that's no exaggeration. The food is AUTHENTIC and incredibly TASTY, the people are warm, and the service is excellent.
There are other Caribbean eateries in Victoria (I've been to them), but when it comes to 'taste/flavour' they don't compare to Stir It Up. Not even close.
Although, those other Caribbean restaurants do have 'sit down service' as well as take out. Stir It Up has very little seating inside and has a patio out in the summer. It's hard to describe...SIU is more of a 'take out' place.
I have recommended Stir It Up to my friends, acquaintances, and strangers; and I recommend it to everyone reading this review. Bon appetite!
Awesome!. Be prepared to wait as it's a one person operation and all the food is made with lots of care ! It's authentic and delicious :) The medium isn't very spicy so if you want heat make sure to ask for more !
Pork Roti. Sooo good my new fav casual lunch that will fill you up just perfectly, such good favors.
Roti, Roti, Roti. A small place, not a food cart. Eating outdoors is pretty much the only option, so come on a nice dry day. The menu items are packed with punch and flavour. Jerk Pork Roti is my first taste and I'm sure I'll try everything else. Be prepared to wait about 20 minutes for your handmade roti wraps (similar to indian roti). It is delicious and large for $10. You may want to split this. I suggest payment up front as opposed to the end of the meal. It's nice just to leave when you want to. Highly recommended and a nice find in lovely Fernwood.
Picked up the jerk chicken and rice, with hot sauce on top to go. Yum and nice heat! Came with rice, sweet potatoes, a simple slaw, potato curry and a delightful piece of bread/cookie. Loved the all the flavours and textures. (Excuse the out of focus image - trust me it looked so tasty)
Awesome the owner Natalie is a kind, welcoming soul. The food is amazing. Worth a visit for some authentic home cook food.

Stir it Up! So good. Very humble and authentic joint dishing up carribbean soul food. It’s all made fresh in house. There was one guy working at the time, and very pleasant. Had the jerk chicken roti. Chicken had crispy skin and the mix of sauces was perfect. Hot, sweet and lots of tang! Will be back.
Had great food; jerk chicken, curry chicken in roti and was very delicious. Don’t be in a hurry to get your order as it’s not very fast when ordering
Went to try out the Curry Chicken Roti and was not disappointed! It was so good! Love the lentils mixed in with the chicken and potatoes. Served a small coleslaw salad on the side which was also very good! Definitely worth a visit!
I've now tried Roti across various cities, and Stir it Up is BY FAR the best. Highly recommend.
I just randomly came across this place when walking to the theatre and boy am I glad I stopped in for some food! It was amazing. The food was sooooo tasty. I’m pretty sure it just became my go to Caribbean place in Victoria.

Lovely staff and outstanding food. Curry chicken roti was super flavourful, tender chicken, and the perfect amount of heat (for me).
