Picked up the jerk chicken and rice, with hot sauce on top to go. Yum and nice heat! Came with rice, sweet potatoes, a simple slaw, potato curry and a delightful piece of bread/cookie. Loved the all the flavours and textures. (Excuse the out of focus image - trust me it looked so tasty)

Stir it Up! So good. Very humble and authentic joint dishing up carribbean soul food. It’s all made fresh in house. There was one guy working at the time, and very pleasant. Had the jerk chicken roti. Chicken had crispy skin and the mix of sauces was perfect. Hot, sweet and lots of tang! Will be back.

Went to try out the Curry Chicken Roti and was not disappointed! It was so good! Love the lentils mixed in with the chicken and potatoes. Served a small coleslaw salad on the side which was also very good! Definitely worth a visit!

This is a terrific downtown spot for a wholesome flavourful meal. The Saturday oxtail specialty is always a sell out and the daily meat specials gives the variety needed to enjoy a daily awesome feed. A fine small place to relax and feel well-fed the Caribbean way. Great place to feel at home with Natalie and friends.

What a lovely space and meal. Right away, I felt like I was where I was supposed to be for lunch. The chef was amazing and kind and made me a delicious roti and veg. As a plant-based person there was lots of options, event postings (yay, community support - means a lot to this arts) and even a book library. I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu!

Easy to miss: I lived a block away from this place for two years without knowing it existed. The food is delicious, filling, and priced very reasonably. Especially recommend the roti, they add some kind of split pea mash along with the curry that absolutely slaps.

This place just feels so welcoming as you walk in. It reminds me of the food culture of the United states and feels like it could have been here forever. The food is absolutely delicious. Best jerk chicken I've had. Can't wait to go back and check out their other items.

Awesome lunch! The roti was so fresh and soft, and the curry veg filling was flavourful. The combo of chickpeas, spinach, and potato gave it great texture. I also had a veg pattie, which was fresh and handmade! The filling was yummy with sweet corn and carrot and the pastry was so flaky. Great value too!

Amazing.. I LOVE this place. Food is great, well spiced, and fresh. Get the roti. Pretty fast most of the time too. Cash only though! Which doesn't bother me, but be aware as Fernwood's ATM is consistently down. LARGE portions for 10 bucks, tax included. They've recently added new menu items too which I haven't tried yet, but sure am excited to. a jem of a restaurant in Victoria.

Yu-u-mmy!. This is, without a doubt, the BEST Caribbean restaurant in Victoria. When I first moved to Victoria from Toronto, I was in serious need of some GOOD Caribbean cooking, being that I am Caribbean (Jamaican heritage, to be precise). I searched high and low and was lucky enough to discover that I lived, literally, around the corner from Stir It Up in Fernwood Square. Let's just say I managed to put on a few extra pounds by constantly eating there...yu-u-mmy, lol. It was tough to live nearby and that's no exaggeration. The food is AUTHENTIC and incredibly TASTY, the people are warm, and the service is excellent. <br/><br/>There are other Caribbean eateries in Victoria (I've been to them), but when it comes to 'taste/flavour' they don't compare to Stir It Up. Not even close. <br/><br/>Although, those other Caribbean restaurants do have 'sit down service' as well as take out. Stir It Up has very little seating inside and has a patio out in the summer. It's hard to describe...SIU is more of a 'take out' place. <br/><br/>I have recommended Stir It Up to my friends, acquaintances, and strangers; and I recommend it to everyone reading this review. Bon appetite!

Awesome!. Be prepared to wait as it's a one person operation and all the food is made with lots of care ! It's authentic and delicious :) The medium isn't very spicy so if you want heat make sure to ask for more !

Roti, Roti, Roti. A small place, not a food cart. Eating outdoors is pretty much the only option, so come on a nice dry day. The menu items are packed with punch and flavour. Jerk Pork Roti is my first taste and I'm sure I'll try everything else. Be prepared to wait about 20 minutes for your handmade roti wraps (similar to indian roti). It is delicious and large for $10. You may want to split this. I suggest payment up front as opposed to the end of the meal. It's nice just to leave when you want to. Highly recommended and a nice find in lovely Fernwood.

Yummy. The Chicken Roti is delicious, although quite over priced. Without a coupon I won't be coming back here as I can't justify spending $10 on just a wrap. There was a little too much potato in my opinion, but it was very yummy and filling regardless. If I do come back I will make sure to ask for it to be spicy instead of medium!

Delish!. Great Roti! My husband and I are used to the Roti we eat when visiting Barbados. The roti "shells" here are very fresh and the curry is delicious. If you like it hot ask for hot sauce to be added, as it is made for more North American tastes. We look forward to going back and checking out the rest of the menu.<br/>Make sure you phone ahead if you want to pick up your order quickly.

Excellent Jamaican food. It is mainly set up for takeout, but on a warm day you can sit at their outdoor tables. Another jem in Feenwood Village's restaurant community.
