I have been coming to this Salty's for many years and have turned several new loyal customers on to this place. The fish is always fresh, the batter excellent and light and the owner and staff are wonderful. If you like fish and chips and you haven't tried this little place you are truly missing out on exceptional value for money. Tuesdays are "All You Can Eat" cod. It's amazing!!!

I just keep coming back! 
Can't get enough of the fresh lightly battered fish and home cut fries. Get great size portions for the price. The service staff is friendly and attentive (even when it's packed). 
I made the mistake of expecting the same quality from the Esquimalt road location but it turns out they aren't even affiliated with each other.
Will definitely keep coming back.

Light, crispy batter that is almost tempura-like is wonderful since it doesn't leave you feeling sluggish and heavy afterwards. The staff are extremely friendly and are always open to any modifications or additions, no matter how silly (my grandma always orders exactly 10 chips with extra coleslaw). The chips are fresh and if you ask you can get them with chipotle dip that's delicious. Highly recommended!

I LOVE Salty's Fish and Chips. Just the fact that you can get curry gravy with your fries is enough to keep me going back. Large portions for the money and it's not 80% batter like a lot of places in Victoria.

Food is excellent. Everyone had Grey hair and the seats were filled, so you know this place is good before you even get the plate. Should serve cocktail sauce with shrimps instead of Thai sauce though.

I've never eaten in before, however, my take-out exsprence is always a 10/10. The staff are so incredibly nice and no matter what you order and are so welcoming. The chips here are my favourite! Coming from the UK there are only a few other places in Vic do good chips. Will always come back here!

Food was awful, fries tasted old and dried out. Coleslaw was soft, no crunch what so ever. Fish was OK. Won't be back, waste of $50.00

The place is the best fish and chips cooked to perfection and the owner normally comes out to serve your dinner. And ensure it is the way you like it. 5 star

I haven't eaten such delicious fish for a long time, I like my fries more crispy, but it didn't matter because the fish was simply perfect.

Very good experience dining in. Good presentation of our food and good portions. The atmosphere is a little bit worn, but definitely not seedy. Our server Ravi was a delight and extremely accommodating. We have done take out on numerous occasions and this was our first dine in. Pleased and recommended for return visits.
