This lil gem of a bakery has been a personal favourite for eons. It offers us beautiful quality breads, cookies, tarts, soups, etc - pure deliciousness without fail š. I LOVE their sourdough bread & rustic apple tart. š
Absolute classic. A unique place with unique mission that has kept its high standards since the day it opened. One canāt not admire that! Drop in for a hot home-made soup. Take out a sandwich, salad, or wrap. Get your sweetie and coffee on the way to work/home. Order a birthday cake for your loved ones. You will never be disappointed.
Best bread I've had! Healthy bread yet it still has the fluffiness it should. They have a good variety of breads as well. They're always accommodating to making my bread plastic free, I really appreciate that. My mom also raves about how delicious their bread tastes.
Their vegan cake is decadent rich chocolatey goodness with an elegant design.
I have to say this place probably has the best croissant youāll find in Western Canada. I donāt know what theyāre doing but whatever it is I how they never stop. I was also speaking to a French person about this recently who completely agrees. So go try their croissant. You wonāt be disappointed. p.s they have a lot of other delicious things too!
Delicious muffin! Although i donāt think there was a blueberry in it, so amazing that it still was that good! Everything looked delicious and love the reasonable sizes of items. Great coffee and friendly staff.
i love this place! really great bread and pastries, and the staff are lovely. i find the bread here to be a really great price and ordering it is super quick and easy, and of course they can have it all sliced for you which is so helpful. most of their breads are vegan, and they're super accomodating and supportive regarding dietary restrictions and allergies.
Bread is a highlight for sure. Superb quality of ingredients and an irresistible variety of pastriesā¦ my only complaint is that the sandwich seemed a bit too expensive to meā¦ but for freshly-baked bread, it could be justified. Great place highly recommended by locals!

My husband and I recently revisited Wildfire Bakery located at 1517 Quadra Street (corner of Mason and Quadra, Victoria, BC), after a hiatus of about 5 years. We were walking in the area, when we saw the quaint old building and remembered we had been there once. At that time of the day it was very busy, as it obviously has a solid, loyal customer base, so we gave up trying to get someoneās attention and left. The second time it was not so busy, we had a good look at everything and purchased a loaf of whole wheat bread. It was so fresh and appetizing, that as soon as we got home we broke big chunks of the crusty loaf and wolfed it down at once. Since then we have been back a few times trying different items. Their muffins are big and satisfying, the carrot cake is tasty and the chocolate cake is heavenly. They also have a good selection of wholesome-looking sandwiches and cookies. The place is small, quaint and down-to-earth. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a large selection of healthy breads (whole wheat, spelt, and rye, among others) baked daily in a wood-fired oven. We also appreciate the granola, and their good selection of stone ground whole grain flours from Nootka Rose milling in Metchosin. I doubt whether one could find better breads anywhere in Greater Victoria.
The most amazingly tasty perfection of a cinnamon twist pastry ever. Flaky, crispy, chewy, tender. BrilliantāI canāt stop thinking about it. Bravo!
Wonderful bakery, all around! Specifically though, we have gotten their cakes for our daughters birthday the last few years and they are incredible! High quality ingredients and so much attention paid to making a beautiful and delicious cake without going too over the top. When Iām season they decorate with gorgeous flowers from their garden. A birthday tradition for years to come.
