Tried for the first time today; Had medium halibut & chips, came with small side of coleslaw, $14.99. Halibut was a good portion, not a microscopically thin slice as I often see with halibut, batter tasty and crispy, not too thick. Fries pretty good too. Plan to go back.
Kings are better than Captains!. Wanted fish an chips. Saw that Captain Kookoo's won some award two years in a row for theirs, decided to give it a try. Don't know how they win. Small piece of fish, in too much batter, and soggy fries. Served on a plank of wood that smelled funny. Very disappointing.
So we gave the King a try. So much better. Fish was perfectly battered and fried, light and flaky, and tasted like fish without smelling like it. Tartar sauce was delicious. And the fries nice and crispy. Will certainly be coming back!
Honestly the service was so incredible. Very nice people running the place and they make the food with so much love you can tell.
We ordered the fish and chips and I'll be honest with you it was excellent. Fries were just the right size and they were perfectly cooked. And the fish was amazing nice and crispy meaty halibut. Looking forward to definitely visiting these guys again and trying some other menu items.
Portions are huge. The restaurant seems family owned and they are very nice. Got the seafood platter and it was really good. I like the fact they have shawarma options as well. Take out was quick. We placed 5 orders and it was ready fast and fresh.
Great fresh fish & chips with large portions! Definitely recommend going on Thursday where they have a special on Cod & chips for $11.99

This is my go-to place for fish and chips! We discovered it during the pandemic and were going the extra mile to support local small food businesses. We are sure happy that we stumbled across King of Fish and Chips. The staff is always so friendly, the food never disappoints and the portions are huge. I'm looking forward to getting our next meal from there soon!
